Such a magical experience here at Kona Cloud Sanctuary. I can still remember what is smells like. The air is so fresh and I wish I could bottle it up and take it home. Bri was a fantastic tour guide, giving great knowledge of the forest. This place really makes you take a step back from life and really just appreciate being. Take really deep breaths cause this is the freshest cleanest air in America you can get.

One of my most memorable experiences in Hawaii overall. We did the Forest tour with Bree who shared not only knowledge about the forest and it's plants but lots of knowledge about the beautiful Hawaiian culture. We then did the sound bath. At first I thought it would be too long and wondered how I would sit for that long. It was magical and I was transported somewhere beyond space and time only to come back completely renewed. On a whim and because we enjoyed our time there so much we decided to come back to do the silent disco in the forest with Bree. She is a music therapist and they have recently added this experience. There were only three of us plus Bree. She takes you on a journey of the soul with music and dance. It is a place and time you can come out of your shell and let go. Some people may have reservations about dancing with a small group of people in the forest. If you love music and dancing do it! This was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. I came away from The cloud forest feeling reborn. One of my most special memories on all of Hawaii. We hope to go back when we visit again. Thank you for such a beautiful day!

Our guide, Bri, was exceptional in bringing all 7 family members into experiencing the Kona Cloud Forest. Even the younger kids were in awe of the sights, aromas, sounds and discoveries along the trail. We learned about many of the trees, ferns and flowering plants of this forest restoration project. Bri had an amazing way to personalize the walk so that everyone was comfortable, interested and had fun even in the rain. Highly recommend this! Mahalo!

Such a unique and relaxing experience that helps you connect with nature and the forest in a profound way. Sound bowl experience with Pam took me into a deep meditative and relaxed state that lasted long after the session was over. We didn’t have time for the walk through the forest but next time I’m on the island I would go back! Mahalo for offering this special place to visitors 🙏🏼☁️🌳

Teryn was a great guide with a seemingly bottomless well of information. She had the answer for every question we had on our “stroll” through the Cloud Forest. The pace of the stroll tour was very manageable and the ascent wasn’t too bad. The trail however would be a problem for those that do not get around well. There are lots of roots that require full attention when walking. This information is freely given when you make reservations but I wanted to make sure to express this for anyone on the fence. I was soaking wet when we were done but that was to be expected. The temperature is much cooler than down below so if you lean cold natured, make sure you bring/wear rain gear and a sweatshirt.
Very happy we chose this as an activity on the Big Island. I very much enjoy doing things that aren’t typical tourist spots, Kona Cloud Forest Sanctuary is a great place to visit.

This was such an amazing experience and I highly recommend taking this tour. It's a very easy stroll through a gorgeous forest (so anyone can do this) and you get to learn a lot about the history of the island and the great works the sanctuary is doing to bring back the native flora. It was honestly one of the highlights of our trip.
