Visited a day after Gale Warning was in effect in the area and the trail was in a bit rough condition, lots of debris but still doable with two kids in carriers. Little muddy but not slippery. Beautiful views all the way. Really enjoyed it.

Nice hike, but not much parking. No bathroom.
Still a great hike with a gradual climb.
Beautiful scenery.
Picnic tables and shelter.
We dealt with mud and slipping on the decent, so trekking poles helped.
This is not a must do, but a should do hike if you have at least some level of fitness.

Beautiful hike through the forest and along a mountain ridge, with several scenic vistas offering incredible views of Kauai. Overall, a fairly easy and straightforward hike, with few steep sections and well-kept trails. One thing many people get confused on is the ending point, as the Kuilau Ridge Trail goes right into the Moalepe Trail, and if you continue to the end of that trail your hike will be significantly longer, as it does not form a loop but would still be an out and back. There is a clear marker for the end of the trail though, and if you turn around there or even go a little farther, your hike will be on the shorter side. There’s plenty of free parking near the trailhead, which also happens to be a beautiful arboretum featuring eucalyptus trees, and just down the river is a hidden gem of a swimming hole, even complete with a rope swing. You can’t go wrong with a hike on Kuaui, but in my opinion, Kuilau is special in comparison.

Decent parking. The hike was fairly easy. It was gradual uphill most of the way. We never knew when to turn around so we just kept going thinking we would find an obvious turning spot. There was not. One thing we loved was that the hike was almost entirely in the shade.

Toller Wanderweg! Wunderschöne Aussichten! Der Weg wurde erst kürzlich freigeschnitten. Für mich eher ein leichter Wanderweg. Für Ältere könnte er anstrengender sein. Stellenweise ein bisschen matschig/rutschig. Insgesamt haben wir bis zur Brücke und zurück ca. 2h 15min gebraucht. Unbedingt mit Mückenspray einsprühen! Einziger Nachteil: keine öffentliche Toilette am Parkplatz. Dafür ist am Parkplatz ein wunderschöner kleiner Bach mit glasklarem, eiskalten Wasser. Hier haben einige Einheimische gebadet.

Beautiful creation of the Lord Jesus Christ. Easy-Medium hike. Once you reach picnic area with seating tables, youll see trails diverge into 3 trails, TURN sharp RIGHT and from there it will lead you to a bridge, where this trail will end. Lots of refreshing aromas from all the greenery

Fairly easy hike with moderate inclines throughout and beautiful views along the way. Trailhead is by yellow gate before the bridge to parking lot.

In our top 5 fav hikes on the island. Very easy walk, nothing tricky, can be slippy if it rained. Gorgeous views of the ridge and valleys.
