The views are amazing! Our trail guide, Piper, was so informative and an awesome guide. I loved my horse, Sky! 10 out of 10, I recommend Camp Palehua! I can’t wait to come back!

Only came to this camp site just to hike the puʻumanawahua (wwii bunkers) trail which is 4 miles round trip moderate level. I like it’s so far away from residential area and a private road to drive all the way to the camp site. Came across the two large green chairs 🪑 and it was worth a stop to take a pic there before heading to the campsite parking lot to hike the trail we’re here for. Hike is self guided so just follow the flag to get to the destination. At the end of the hike is the bunker from world war 2 with the view from Honolulu to Waianae side which is beautiful scenery. Took lots of pics to see what the bunker / chairs / camp palehua / and the view from the bunker looks like if you’re interested to go there. Before entering the campsite parking lot have to make a reservation from their website to enter and it’s easy to give them a call for camping / or just there for hiking wise. Would recommend 🤙

I had a pretty great time. The cabins could be comfier and the bathrooms could be more hygienic, but for a camp, it's fairly good. There's a set of stairs I hate because they're slanted, making it very easily to slip off of in the rain (it is oftentimes raining) and the paint on it makes it worse. The hike was pretty and I recommend it. It's not too long and there's a pretty great view from it. The pool is NOT heated, it's usually too cold to bother using.

I went hiking up to the pill boxes. Just contacted the camp, filled out an online form, and they send you a code to enter the day of your hike. Paid the $10 fee via Venmo. There is a 2 mile or you can make it almost 4 miles by going up to the bunkers. Beautiful views. Loved it.

Absolutely gorgeous hiking and wonderful people caring for the grounds. Highly recommend, good for families. Two miles to view the west side. The four mile hike to the WWII bunkers gets views from diamond head to the west side (we couldn’t go because we had a little one with us).

This was a pleasantly surprised hike! If you like a good workout after you hike to Nanakuli Lookout - which is awesome! Then hike up to WWII bunker, that one will be a hike that goes up up up!! Beat time to hike these is winter time after it rains or during light showers as it’s much cooler out! Call and make an appt as you won’t be able to drive up and start hiking. Staff is very friendly and helpful!!

Fun drive and hike. Trails were clearly marked and it was easy to hike at our own pace. Our party consisted of the 4 year old birthday girl, a couple children 11 and under, and a bunch of older people. The hike was pretty breezy and cool. We started at about 8 am and finished at about 10 am. There were beautiful scenic places to take photos and a small place to relax before returning on the round trip. There are temperature checks and mask requirements in the camp area, but since the hikes are reserved you can unmask on the trails. There were lots of birds singing lovely tunes along the hike. It was a good little work out and we had lots of fun. It is a private ranch, so there is a small per-person fee.
