It’s a not bad golf course. Back nine is short so if you hit a good tee shot, you’ll be hitting a lob wedge or so. Greens are ok. I didn’t know they had a range to warm up.

The course itself is nice. Good layout. The pace of play is awful. Tee time was at 1:37 and we only finished 14 holes. Waited at every hole with 2 people waiting ahead of us.

今回ハワイで3ラウンドしましたが、地味ではあるが、帯に短し襷に長しでもない、丁度良い塩梅のバランス、且つ、コスパ良く、しかもワイフが、しかもレギュラーから、ベスト更新しました。周辺のゴルフ場に比べると、非常にローカル色が強く、施設も歴史を感じます。途中鶏が走り回る民家の横などを通り過ぎます。ロコの日常に溶け込んでいるかのように気にしていませんが。GPSはありません。GPSがないので、目視で前の組との距離感が掴みづらく、打ち込んでしまうのではないかとの危惧もありましたし、逆に打ち込まれる危険も感じておりましたが、後ろの方も前の方も充分間隔をあけてのんびり回っているので、打ち込み打ち込まれはなかったです。所々ブラインドあるので、ここは前の組が充分見えるまで待てば問題なし。コースの整備状態はそれ程悪くない。この日は進行具合が悪いらしく(いつもはもっとスムーズだとロコが行ってました)、パースリーで3組待っており、前の組のロコの4人組にこのホールはパスして抜かしてもいいかと聞いたら、その方は日系4世の方でマーシャルに聞くと、この前は全部詰まっていると言うことで雑談をしていたらあっという間に時間が過ぎてそれはそれで楽しかったです。総じてなんだか楽しいラウンドでした。

楽天GORAで予約し、レンタカー利用して行きました。ショップでチェックインを済ませてスタート係のスタッフへ用紙を渡してカートとレンタルクラブを用意してもらいスタートです。
楽天ではINスタートでしたがOUTからのスタートでした。その辺は適当のようです。所々にタンクに入った冷水が用意されています。遠くにダイヤモンドヘッドが眺めて景色は良いゴルフ場です。

ワイキキから比較的近いローカル感が強いゴルフ場

地元の方たちと組み合わせに一瞬なってびっくり（汗）

ダイヤモンドヘッドが遠くに見えて、ダイヤモンドヘッドへ向かって届け〜って打つ感じは気持ちいい〜

息子が留学中だったので、息子分は居住者割引でプレー

ヤード杭がわからないのが難点

ただ、娘が携帯を落としてしまっまが、クラブハウスの方、カートアナウンスの方全てが親切に探して頂き、翌日無事に見つかりました。

そして、ご飯が美味しく、ポテトは絶品でした。クラムチャウダーは少ししょっぱい

My group and I traveled from Vancouver Canada to Hawaii for a golf trip. Unfortunately, our experience here was incredibly disappointing. At hole 5, we encountered a severe backup with five groups ahead of us at the par-3 hole and four groups behind us. This level of mismanagement made it clear we wouldn’t be able to finish 18 holes in a reasonable time. When we called the pro shop to inquire about the marshal, we were shocked to hear that he had gone home and would not address the situation.

We asked for some form of compensation, such as the 9-hole rate or the local rate, since it was evident we wouldn’t get what we paid for, but both requests were flatly denied. Keep in mind, we paid the visitor rate, which is double the local rate. This level of customer service is unacceptable. For the price they charge, one would expect proper course management and at least some effort to resolve issues.

We had a far better experience at other courses such as Waikele Country Club, Pearl at Kalauao, and Royal Hawaiian. If you’re planning to golf in Hawaii, do yourself a favor and skip this course. Royal Kunia Country Club is not worth your time or money.

Visiting and hoped to play and have fun. Seems they overbooked the course…3hr front and I’m not talking “slow play”; I am talking 2-3 groups waiting on every tee box throughout the entire course. No refunds. Now wishing I booked somewhere else through hawaiiteetimes.com. Other than that the course is in good shape. Just fair warning to anyone else not familiar with this course.
