The absolute worst.. I took my shoes and bag here and the man looked up what my Hermes sandals were reselling for to determine price… wanted $500 to fix sandals. I ended up only going through with my Gucci backpack being cleaned and fixing one of the leather straps that ripped. They just chopped the other strap to match the ripped one and partially cleaned the inside of the bag. Then told me they put so much love into the bag and were offended that I was upset. They had the bag for over a month to cut a strap and do a basic cleaning… $310 for something my 9 yr old niece could have done with craft scissors and my sisters Dyson.
When I asked about the strap he said he based it off how Gucci straps are and I’m like how do you just chop them square when every other strap on the bag is clearly different. I would never recommend this place. Go to Harry’s just like I should have in the first place.

Great communication, good pricing, and solid work. My clear sole heels' wooden soles were destroyed, and they patched it up very well. It looked brand new when I received them today.

1st 2nd and 3rd photo is the repaired boots, 4th one is the photo I took when it was damaged.

10/10 highly recommend.

Beehive always does excellent work, and it’s one of the best places to get a shoe shine in the city. Here are the new protective soles they put on my Allen Edmonds. Highly recommend getting this done, really extends the life of the shoe.

I highly recommend Beehive Shoeworks! They worked wonders on my shoes, including my beloved wedding pair with wear-and-tear from all the dancing. The care and skill they put into repairs were incredible - my shoes look like new! Highly recommend for great service.

First time customer of Beehive. Transplant from Texas have lived throughout but have had these To Boot New York’s for over a decade brought them in with the heel caps fray and brittle, salt rocks in a worn sole with a hole growing in one of them and salt through out the sides of the uppers that made the shoe look grey instead of black. I’ve lived here 3 years and work between river north and throughout the south and south west side of Chicago walking a lot. I love shoes that are reworked costing half the price I paid for the shoes new but better than new because they’re broken into to my foot and they look new shined and buffed. I am in my 30s and I do not like rubber sole glue on soles that most would toss the shoes in the trash. The great thing about having a local cobbler is I support a small and local business and the gentlemen who runs the shop is a millennial who learned from the older generations before him to perfect his skills as a cobbler and is clearly teaching the next generation of cobblers working there. Additionally if you care about using less materials like less leather for sustainability in your personal purchases when you take your business to a cobbler they can bring practically any shoe back to life for a lower cost than new in many cases and use less materials only needing to replace the sole and heels. That goes a long way. They also do boots which myself being from Texas own a number of boots that’ I’ll bring in to be reworked. Note you don’t need to only have leather sole shoes it can be rubber too and can be worked on. I hope this post reaches my generation and younger to keep this craft going and to keep small businesses alive that do have an impact on sustainability and climate by using less materials. Also if you just want a shoe shine they do that too! Thanks again guys look forward to continued success and bringing all my shoes to you! The water stain on the bottom of the sole and splash on the side of shoe is not reflective of their work, that happened right before I posted.

You get what you pay for! I was sure these boots were destined for the trash, but took a chance and I’m very impressed with the outcome. Really nice work and attention to detail. Thanks again!

In town for only 2 days and the handle on bag broke. I needed a quick repair. Took it in and they had it fixed in less than an hour! I am glad they kept an inventory. Also told me how to handle with airline. Great value for the price and the staff super helpful and very pleasant.

Brought a 10 year old pair of Allen Edmonds shoes in for a wedding on a Friday morning and the guys at Beehive Shoe Works put a mirror finish on them-- ready for pickup the very next morning. The quality and value is unmatched.
