I recently discovered this gem, and I’m so glad I did! The food here is absolutely incredible. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful. The meat are perfectly seasoned! Their burritos are generously packed and loaded with flavor.

The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the service is fast and friendly. I love that you can split proteins in your order easily, and everything is packaged perfectly for takeout — nothing ever arrives soggy or cold.

Don’t skip their guacamole and chips or the churros for dessert. Both are absolutely worth it! Whether you’re craving a quick lunch or a hearty dinner, this place never disappoints. It’s quickly become my go-to spot for Mexican food.

The girl who took my order was very friendly. I ordered the carnita fajitas and a Mexican coke. The meat and veggies were pretty good. I will say that rice and beans needed some more flavor. The tortilla's are important to the fajita meal. I do think that my tortillas were undercooked. I've included pictures below. But after taking a bite it was very doughy and the tortilla was too translucent. I am a little disappointed because I've had the family meal before and it was really good. I also did wait around 15 minutes for my takeout meal. So, I am assuming that maybe they were short staffed or had a lot of call-in orders. But again, just slightly disappointed.

Update: The issue did get resolved! I got lunch today from Fajita Pete's and the food was much better. I also got the mixed tortillas. The flour tortillas tasted a lot better and the corn tortilla was DELICIOUS. Thank you Fajita Pete's and Teddy for addressing my concerns. Will definitely be coming back 🙂

As a first timer at Fajita Pete’s, I sincerely cannot recommend it enough! The convenience of having everything made FRESH and ready to eat is awesome enough, but the quality of food is worth raving about on its own. I’ve yet to have juicier chicken and more tender steak from a restaurant that has such quick and efficient service. Everything is so spotless and the owners are so incredibly kind. If you find yourself in the Wilmette area, this is a superb grab and go food spot tucked in the suburbs of Chicago!

Fajita Pete's - first time experience, now a long term customer!! Our company first tried this restaurant today. The quality of food AND service were amazing! Everything was freshly homemade, they accommodated our location (which was likely outside their normal delivery area) and the service was extremely friendly! I can't say I've experienced this level of high customer service in years! (and I do a lot of catering for my company). I highly, highly recommend Fajita Pete's ! You won't be disappointed!

Such good food! Staff checked that I had everything I needed in my order before heading out which was very nice & the kind of service that I haven’t experienced in a while.

We were confused by the pick-up because there was a curbside option online, but I ended up going in anyways since the spot was quite small anyways.

We loved the food— the corn tortillas were a 3/5 for us since they were quite thick but also small. I think if they were thinner and a little larger, we would’ve really enjoyed them! The flour tortillas taste homemade as well, the kind where you’d be happy just eating them by itself either rolled up with nothing in it or tearing it apart and eating it piece by piece.

Overall a great little spot with well-deserved good reviews 🙂

What a pleasant surprise! As the Office Manager I was promised fabulous fajitas and "yes" that promised was authenticated. The food was fresh, seasoned to perfected and delivered by professional and friendly staff. Our team loved both the steak and chicken fajitas, complimented with the works which included housemade tortillas, guacamole from scratch. The beans and rice tasted superb, and everyone enjoyed the free chips and salsa. Our office is looking forward to ordering again. Highly recommend Fajita Pete's without hesitation.

Cute location, nice and clean, fast service and AMAZING fajitas - the chicken and steak were so juicy! Margarita's are also highly recommended. Strawberry was Yummm and hit the spot. I'll definitely be back! 😁

We love this place. The chicken and steak are both great but we have not tried the other protein choices. Their refried beans are better than most sit down Mexican places in Chicago. Their chips and salsa are like the kind you fill up on before a meal at a Mexican restaurant. Ordering online is convenient. It’s a very logical way to feed a larger group of people too.
