Tiso is without doubt, the best outdoor store in Aviemore. Lots of stock here including the largest display of mountain bikes that I remember seeing. Found the staff very helpful recently whilst asking about details of e-bikes. Tiso sell and also hire out equipment for winter walking/climbing etc so you can effectively try before you buy.

Cafe review. Ok food, but one member of staff was really ignorant. After our meals, and about to set off for a three hour journey, I asked where the toilets were, and was told the customer toilets were out of order. I complained, saying it was outrageous to serve food to eat on the premises without sanitary provision. As I was returning to our table I was engaged by another staff member, to whom I repeated my complaint. She said 'i was going to let you use the staff toilet, but you are not being nice, so no. There are toilets nearby in Aldi, you can use them!' so Tiso staff can't handle legitimate customer complaints, delivered in a reasonable way, without thinking they can punish them for 'being not nice'. I see a lot of complaints
about staff on this site. I very, very rarely criticise staff anywhere, even when it's justified. However in this case, if you can't deal with people upset because they can't get to your toilet, then maybe this job isn't for you.

Fab shop. Good choice of outdoor gear and clothing and something for every budget. Often end up buying something that I didn't know I 'needed' Cafe upstairs is worth a visit too, with everything from burgers, soups and cakes covered. Dog friendly.

Well Tiso staff are mostly very professional kind and gentle and speak in a respectful way and manner. At the Aviemore branch today 3rd Sep 2024. A female member off staff was so nippy and nasty I felt like walking out before my purchase, her entire attitude was terrible.

Absolutely excellent service from Chantal.
She was extremely knowledgable about insoles for my husband’s shoes. Patient and took time to explain everything. Superb member of staff.
Returned and bought another pair for other shoes!

Genialer Laden mit umfangreichem Angebot - das Beste: tolle professionelle Beratung - wenn Ihr gutes outdoor-Material braucht dringende Empfehlung Euch dort von den Profis beraten zu lassen … für mich haben die Fachverläufer sich sehr viel Zeit genommem bis es (neue Wanderschuhe) perfekt gepasst hat! Very rude frameless member of staff. She demanded that my son who is a wheelchair user move out of a space in the cafe to join the end of the queue even though I was waiting in the queue. This would have meant him pushing through a group of people. My husband explained calmly that he was waiting there while I queued but another young colleague joined the campaign to remove my husband and son from the space. They were completely oblivious to the fact that manoeuvring a wheelchair is difficult at the best of times never mind through a queue of people. Reasonable adjustment is a requirement of all businesses, Tiso seem to think that they are exempt. How disappointing!

The cafe is to die for as extremely good quality food, although choices are slightly limited due to staff shortage. Update, great news, there are now additional staff and as a result an extensive menu.
