Super bummed about the quality of a momento sweatshirt I bought here. This sweatshirt looks like it's a million years old, but actually I just bought it March of 2023 and have worn it minimally to try and preserve it. Against my better judgement I paid full price, $55, for this sweatshirt, but there was sentimental reasons for buying it, so I splurged. My husband and I met and got married in Southern California and he lived in Encinitas before we got married. We spent a lot of time at this shop when he lived here. We have since moved away and came back for a visit last year. I fell in love with this sweatshirt because it reminded me of that special time in our lives.

Anyhow, I know that is a long story for a review, I just can't express how disappointing this sweatshirt is. It started wearing like this right away with the discoloration and I swear I've been in no contact with bleach... I don't even use bleach in my house. I also have only washed this sweatshirt few times in an effort to preserve it and this is how it looks.

Can you do something about this Hansen's?

We've been going to Hansens for years. It's great to have such a fantastic local store. Recently, Squealy worked miracles on my painful snowboard boots. He checked my boot size, customized new foot beds to my feet and riding style, and heat molded my boots to perfection. He even checked my stance and gave my board some quick first aid! He is amazing and spends some serious focused energy making his customers happy. For a new boot fit or a painful boot remedy, definitely make an appointment and get into see Squealy! I first visited Hansen’s in 1965 and over the years have continued doing business with them on line. It was great to get back for their 60th anniversary celebration. They are a top notch family centered organization who are a pleasure to do business with. Highly highly recommend them.

Called in with some questions and spoke with Bailey. Ended up going in and buying a wetsuit after he dropped some solid knowledge. It was worth the price difference of going into the store and learning a couple of things vs saving a couple of dollars online. If I didn't go in and talk with him I wouldn't have gotten the right size online and wouldn't have known the difference as guy just now jumping into the sport. Shop brick and mortar, at least getting into it 🙂 Thanks, Bailey!

We were in a rush to rent a wetsuit for my niece. Brady J was at the counter and was so knowledgeable and helpful, he picked the right suit right off the bat, saving us at least an hour of valuable beach time. He wasn’t condescending or patronizing and put my 9yr old shy niece at ease. Thank you! ?
