I had a great experience with the expert help of Matt in the snowboard department recently. I had a challenging boot fit and he worked through a ton of options to get me something that works great. He was super knowledgeable and very patient while testing out different options. He was also great for recommending a new deck. Took the time to swap out bindings, and in general I just felt very comfortable. I've been riding for 3 decades so I know good help when I experience it. Thanks Matt!

I've always had amazing experiences at Epic Mountain Gear. Recently my snowboard binding broke while up at Eldora. I came into the store and Jake was incredibly helpful. He was able to get me store credit for the bindings, which I'd purchased there years earlier, and then helped me pick out new replacement bindings. He was extremely knowledgeable and even called around to other locations to find me a pair that were on sale in my size. I will definitely continue purchasing my gear at Epic!

Zach and Mia were awesome! They helped me and my girlfriend with boot fittings, skis, and bindings. Both are super experienced and knowledgeable. They were patient with making sure everything was right for us.

I've been pretty psyched with my experience at this shop. They've accommodated impromptu boot fittings, gotten us great deals and recommendations on skis and boots for the family, and they (Steve) even custom molded a climbing boot that had been giving me issues, which now fits like a glove. Can't wait to climb on it. Great service!

While the staff is very friendly, the service here drops off after you leave the doors of the shop. Epic fit me for a pair of expensive boots and I ended up custom ordering since they didn't have the exact size in the shop at the time. Two weeks go by and nobody contacts me about my order, even though they said I should expect a call a day or two after purchase. After one phone call to the store (left on hold for 20+ mins) and 2 in person visits asking about the status of my order, on the third visit someone finally informs me that the order had never been filled, and promised to refill the order for me and that I should expect another call within the week. No calls - I checked my main inbox, voicemail, and spam. I ended up giving up and going to a local ski shop - something I should have done from the start.

Altogether, the whole process made me feel extremely disrespected as a customer, especially considering that I would have paid ~700 dollars if someone had ACTUALLY FILLED my order. I suppose these big ski corporations don't need that money though. My recommendation, go buy your gear at a local shop and support the local Boulder economy. No need to feed these giant corporations that make our slopes more and more expensive each year.

I bought a pair of QSTs close out last season for a great deal (they were $50 cheaper than anywhere else in town or online) and had everything mounted here and they did a great job. Skied a few days end of last season and a few days into this season and sadly the ski tip completely delaminated…given that I had only been doing groomers / hadn’t had any impact to the tips / had less than 10 days on them I brought them back to the shop and they warrantied them and replaced them on the spot. Huge shout out to manager Tony for taking care of me and getting me a free rental for the Christmas period as well as I was about to leave for a ski trip. Really great customer service and they stand behind what they sell you. Will definitely be back!

Do yourself a favor and never go here for boot fitting!

I was sold a boot way too small for me, go back in a few days later asking to exchange it (They advertise a free return or exchange policy for the first 5 days or something) They wouldn’t let me, told me it’s a good fit and I just need to wear it more. Turns out it was an atrocious fit. They literally had to drill holes in the boot to make it longer and I still couldn’t ski without physically hurting my feet or losing toenails. Out $700, back to seasonal rental boots and they will do nothing about it. I understand that sometimes people make mistakes and its impossible to fit everyone correctly, but the lack of effort to fix the situation is the reason for my low review

I had a very disappointing experience coming here. A staff member was very kind and accommodating, while the other two weren't helpful, and rude. When we arrived at the store, a staff member helped us onto the waiting list, after 5-10 minutes of waiting, another employee came over and told us it would be a while before fitting us in, but we said it would be okay for us to wait. Finally, a different staff member came over and told us we would not be fit in at all, no matter how long we waited. It would have been greatly appreciated if we had been told we wouldn't be fit in at the beginning, instead of wasting 30 minutes of our time. I understand it is a busy time, but treating people with respect and kindness should always be practiced.
