We rented skis and boots here because it was nearly half the price of a rental at the resort we were skiing at. Owners were responsive to the questions I asked with my booking and were willing to accommodate pick up the day before rental and drop off the morning after the rental dates. Our equipment was waiting for us with our names on it when we arrived for pick up and the staff were kind enough to help ensure a proper fit. Drop off took less than a minute. We would rent here again if we return to the area.

This is great place to rent ski equipment. First day we rented cross country skis. There is nice track around mining sites of Leadville. Following day we headed to Cooper mountain and rented gear for that.

Place is located on the main street and there is parking front or the side of the building. Service is fast and price very reasonable compared to Cooper mountain shop. Vail shops were 2-3 times higher price. Honest, no nonsense service.

Great fly fishing experience with Gus from Alpine Ski and Sport. Gus did a excellent job instructing a couple of beginners on the basics of fly fishing. He also explained the environment we were in which was an extra bonus, how the fish think of us and what the eat. Truly a great adventure for us. He inspired us to keep on fishing. Thanks Gus for a wonderful experience and the great pictures.

Took my kids ice skates here to get sharpened. Quick turnaround and friendly staff. Definitely recommend this place, and not just because they're the only ones that sharpen skates in town.

I stopped here on a whim to get my snowboard rental instead of doing it at Ski Cooper, and I am really happy that I did. The process was quick, the prices were very reasonable, and the staff were friendly. The return was quick and easy as well.

Overall we as a group had a pretty good experience and the quality of the rentals was really good. I just happened to have a couple issues that I'm hoping were just a nuance. We had a group of 9 people ski this past weekend at Ski Cooper and got our rentals here because our rental house recommended them. Everyone's gear was great but one of our guests had to get their ski binding refitted at the rental shop at the mountain (for an extra $10 charge) because it was not correctly set to fit one of her boots. I loved my skis but the boots I was given were two sizes too large so I finished day one of skiing with some badly bruised shins (which happens when ski boots don't fit properly). I didn't realize how bad they were until day two on the mountain when I couldn't buckle my boots because my shins/calves were so swollen. I ended up getting a different pair from the mountain's rental shop and the guy who helped me out was SO HELPFUL and made sure that I was fitted correctly and was able to ski the rest of the day without any issues, regardless of some tender shins. He mentioned being buddies with Alpine's owner and said he'd try to give him a call if he could to get a refund for my extra cost for the new boots. I went to exchange my boots that night at Alpine saying that I had to rent new boots because the ones I was given were a men's 9 instead of a women's. The person working tried to tell me that a 9 was universal regardless but my boots were clearly too large. They got me a new pair but didn't refund me. They didn't fit the buckles to my foot so I had to have someone at the mountain adjust them the following morning so they didn't cut off my circulation completely. Overall everyone else had a good experience but I was hoping to have a better interaction when I brought in the boots that were incorrectly given to me. I totally understand that accidents happen, we're all human, but I just wanted them to acknowledge the mistake and make it right instead of placing the blame on me. The price was great for both the rentals and the lift tickets but next time I'll make sure to that EVERYTHING fits properly when I come in instead of reserving everything ahead of time.

We rented skis here at the last minute since ski coopers power was out and they couldn’t do rentals at the resort. Alpine was much more reasonably priced and we were in and out in 10 minutes. Thank you!

After long drive into town, I stopped in to see lift ticket prices and possibly get a couple boards waxed. Felt like the gentleman that greeted me was not pleased that I was there. Looked like a decent place, but people there need to smile more.
