I went to the Hawley Lane store in Norwalk the day after Christmas looking for a pair of winter boots. First of all, the selection is not what is shown in their TV ads. When we walked in the woman at the register asked if I wanted to be measured but I said I knew my size and showed her the boot I wanted to try on. She brought it out and gave it to me while she went back to the register. The boots did not fit so I wanted to asked for the larger size but there was no one to help me. The woman at the register was busy on the phone and every once in a while someone would walk out of the back room with shoes in their hands going towards the register. I think they were working on phone or on-line orders because there were no other customers in the store. After quite a while I was able to get the attention of one of the clerks to look for the larger size for me but it was not in stock so they would have to get it from another store. At that point I was so disappointed with the service that I left. I think that the customers in the store should be taken care of before anything else, especially when I was the only customer in the store! The ads on TV give you the impression that you are going to get personalized service finding the shoes that you need but it wasn't that way in the store. I may as well have gone to a department store where they give you the shoes and you are on your own. Needless to say I will not be returning or recommending this store to my friends. I thought I had found a shoe store with personalized service but apparently I was wrong.

Love the Hawley Lane location the best because of their employees. Ellen is wonderful to deal with and makes sure you have the right shoes for your feet. I took my 98 year old Mother yesterday to buy some shoes and she took a lot of time to insure that the shoes we bought fit her perfectly.

I have gone to this location on multiple occasions and they always are so nice!

Much better than the Shelton location.

Faye, Senior Fit Specialist at Hawley Lane Shoes in Norwalk is absolutely wonderful! I came in just to browse and have a look at some shoes. Multiple members of staff greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. After letting me browse a bit, Faye asked if I needed any help at all. I explained to her my foot troubles. I've got extremely flat feet and am on my feet all day long. I've tried so many different pairs of shoes but none of them provide me with any lasting comfort. Faye went right to work and brought out a whole shopping cart of different shoes for me to try! I must have tried on 8 different pairs. One after the next, Faye kept her warm personality and smile as I explained what I did and did not like. She did not give up on me, she said let's keep going until we find something that works. We must have spent 2 hours together trying different shoes to find one I liked. In that time, I saw other customers being helped by other staff members. The staff gave their full attention and help to everyone who came in. I can tell that Faye and the staff at Hawley Lane Shoes in Norwalk are experienced and knowledgeable about the shoes that they sell and at customer service as well. Ultimately, I decided to purchase a nice pair of On Cloud shoes and a pair of inserts that I can use in my other shoes thanks to Faye's wonderful service and recommendation. If you have had trouble finding good shoes like I have, I would recommend you go see Faye and the team at Hawley Lane Shoes in Norwalk.

Hawley Lane is the place to shoe shop if you have problem feet..or if you just like a great fit and quality shoes. Once again I had a successful visit with the knowledgeable and efficient sales lady, Ellen, who brought me 3 pair to try on and I bought 2 of them. In and out in 23 minutes!
