So what I understand is we have to do everything online. So what is the purpose of having somebody to answer the phone to tell you they can't do anything explanation point I think it would be a lot cheaper just to have an automated system that tells you we can't do anything we can't do anything go online because we suck! It'd be a lot cheaper on the taxpayer and it would probably save a lot of time and frustration.

I wish I could give them a negative star. Their website is the worse to process water payment bills. It seems they do it in purpose for people to get frustrated with the online payment process. It should be simple and it is not.

I called to report a leak and just wanted to know who owns the actual meter and who's responsibility it was if the meter was leaking. I never got a clear answer and Jack at the after hours number was very disrespectful. He kept saying I was interrupting him but he kept repeating the same thing without answering my question. He kept saying everything past the meter. But what about the actual meter?

I had an issue with my meter box cover, it was broken into four pieces leaving a large hole in my front yard. A broken leg waiting to happen. I called the water department at 9 am and less than two hours later the were on scene fixing the issue.

Very bad experience with them. We moved into a new house, had everything set up online to transfer our name into the bill. Everything went fine but then over the next 3 days we had someone come to our house daily and threaten to shut off our water. They thought we hadn't put it in our name? So everyday we called, talked to someone new and they told us we are good and they have no idea why someone is threatening to shut-off water. Then 4th day, someone comes and actually does shutt off our water. So now we are back on the phone, this time ultra fed up. They say they'll send someone out asap but again don't know why this is happening. It's been 4 days, I think they should have cleared up whatever issue they have on their end by now. Fingers crossed they don't randomly come by again tomorrow and threatening to shut-off our water again ?‍?

Contacted them twice about a potential water quality problem. It's been a month with no response whatsoever other than an automated one promising my request would be processed within 5 business days. So, add yet another review to the list of customers being ignored by the Hillsborough County Water Dept.

I'd like to point out to the water department employees and the county commissioners that over the years there have been multiple water quality problems at various facilities around the country where residents tried warning employees and representatives but were ignored. Then when people ended up becoming seriously ill, it became major news, and the people who ignored the warnings had their careers ruined, became social outcasts, and some even faced legal consequences due to their negligence. The employees ignoring customers and the representatives ignoring the ongoing complaints and bad reviews about the water department should keep that in mind... because one day that could be you. Besides which, if you don't like being ignored as a paying customer (especially for something that could affect your health) then why do you think it's OK to do that to others?

I was bothered to learn that our water bills are billed by road side meter readings!!!
I’ve posted some conditions of my meter and my neighbors! How well do you think we are being billed for our water? And these meters are read monthly by a human? I beg to differ… everyone is scamming these days! ?
Meters are covered in dirt and broken up … I have spoke my pov but everyone should be aware.. seems some bills are guessed ‍♀️
