This is a nice trail with a handful of features to try out.. It's mostly flat and on the easier side. Go here to build your cardio, more than your skill on the bike... It's still a nice local spot but far from the challenges of Hannah Park, tillie Fowler or the like....

MTB trails not well maintained in June 2024. It was fun despite that, but tough to see the trail at times and lots of spiders and debris and overgrowth on the trails. Disappointing. You can do better Nocatee! Main straight trail is fine, but kind of boring for a Mtbiker. Very buggy! Wear good tick, fly, and mosquitoe stray! Bathrooms in parking area are convenient. MTB trails are about 1-1.5 mile from the entrance.

Date: April 2021
Note: One way trail, couple fixtures, not bad on roots.
This is a fun trail, about 5 miles worth from the parking lot and back. The trail is primarily flat and very narrow. There are a few wooden fixtures; no jump fixtures thought if that's what you're wanting.

MUST READ - When you navigate to the mountain bike trail, navigate to the Nocatee Preserve Trail Head on Google Maps first. There you will park behind the high school. However, you need to know that the bike trails I rode were HEAVILY overgrown. I was getting assaulted by vegetation the entire time and found several ticks on myself afterwards. WEAR PANTS AND LONG SLEEVES if you want to prevent Lyme disease. I am at the doctors now bc I'm very concerned. This disease can make you sick for years. Be careful. I definitely prefer trails that have more space and upkeep so you're not at such a high risk for infection.

Great place, great trail, a little rooty as mentioned, but filled with ticks. I had ticks allover my shoes, socks, and inside my pants, crawling upwards. Bummed out.

Do NOT ride right now. Great, twisty single track trails with some nice features, but the have had NO maintenance this year and are riddled with tons of TICKS!!! I got swarmed with ticks. My fault for not wearing repellent, but the number of them - tiny, hard to see larval stage - was crazy and I'm not sure repellent would have fully prevented them getting on me.

There were several dead trees that had fallen that couldn't be jumped. It was so overgrown that I had to literally bull my way through branches and shrubs.

It would be a 5 star rating if it was maintained and the brush/grass cut back so you didn't have to worry so much about the ticks.

Did the 3.5 mile bike trail with my son. As a novice trail rider, I found it to be a good challenging trail. The tree roots were near constant and the trail had some tight winding turns. There were several 'advanced' trail features like wooden bridges and double up and down wooden hills. Beware ticks in season. The tree-lined trail kept a gusty 57°f day calm as it absorbed and blocked the wind.
Worth the day with my son.

The full trail is great- scenic views and lots of wildlife. The mountain bike trail has a lot of promise, but is overgrown and not well-ridden. The bridge features were challenging but definitely do-able for an intermediate rider. It is not posted, but please WEAR A HELMET on the mountain bike trail. Someone riding the same day I was left in an ambulance after falling off a short bridge and hitting their head.
