Very knowledgeable staff and the owner goes above an beyond. They are a relatively small shop and it is reflected by their in store selection but you are sure to find something that will fit your needs. While it may be a haul to get here from the city I will continue to get my equipment serviced here when I need to. I once ordered two sets of skis and bindings (for myself and my girlfriend) from a large retailer in the Colorado area and I took them in here to get mounted and tuned. The price was reasonable but what made me a customer for life was the attention to detail, they noticed something was off about the ski when they were mounting the bindings and long story short they went way above and beyond in order to make sure I had a good and safe ski.

I have never had such a wonderful customer service experience where I felt so focused on and taken care of. The owner personally walked me through every step of the process of understanding the repair and eventual necessary replacement of my snowboard, properly getting sized for bindings, and further improving my understanding of my equipment by teaching me proper care and waxing techniques necessary to get the most longevity out of my gear. When asked why he would help someone take business away from himself by teaching me to do it instead of having the store do the work, he said it was more important to him that I better discover and grow my craft and become more in-tune with my equipment to further enhance my love for the sport. That’s true service right there! You’ve got a forever customer for sure!

We love Alpine Ski Shop! The owners, Rick and Lori, and their staff are so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We have purchased ski and snowboard equipment, gear and apparel several times over the years, and have been thoroughly pleased with the quality, durability and selection of their products. Understand, they are a proper Ski/Board shop, so you're talking brand names - which aren't cheap, but you are getting excellent quality gear from experts who will outfit you appropriately. Plus, if you shop at the end of the season, you can get good deals! Check them out!

Wow now this was a surprise! A store with such a high rating I was very exciting to go in and browse their goods and talk to the staff. I am interested in cross country skiing and am quite new to the activity so I had a bibles worth of question to ask about equipment, accessories, etc. Instead of being met with a friendly face I was met with a very bitter gentleman who seemed to deflect anything I asked. It was almost like he didn’t want me to purchase anything as he never really gave me a straight up answer to any question. I walked out of this store very dissatisfied and empty handed. Will definitely be looking elsewhere for skiing equipment. It’s safe to say that I WILL NEVER be coming back.

Best Ski shop in Northern Illinois. Nice selection at Competitive prices and Super knowledgeable staff. I have bought multiple pairs of Skis and boots for both myself and my children from Alpine Accessories and each time have been impressed with their Customer service and attention to the details Especially when fitting my kids for new gear.

Rick was extremely helpful and informative guiding me on my battery foot warmer purchase. Laurie went above and beyond the call to help resolve a shipping issue and got my foot warmers to me in time for my snowboard trip , then even followed up with a call to ensure everything went well .Excellent experience all around!

Had an unbelievable experience here this weekend. My girlfriend and I both bought new skis, bindings, and boots. They offered package discounts and had fair prices regardless. We arrived Friday morning with plans to go skiing later that day (not great planning). Rick and his team were able to get us fitted and we walked out with our equipment within a couple hours. While this type of turnaround cannot be expected every time, it is outstanding to see a business that will make this level of extra effort for customers. We will be using this store for as long as they are around.
