I purchased ski boots from Alpine Shop this fall. With liners, the total came to over $600. After three days of skiing, the boots were killing my feet, so I went to the shop to request adjustments. The technician made me feel like an *** for coming in and returned my boots with a severely damaged buckle. When I went back to the shop to request that the buckle be replaced, I was told they would contact the manufacturer and would call me when they heard something. After three weeks of being blown off by the Alpine Shop, I called the manufacturer myself and a new buckle was in the mail the next day. I'll have my new technician at one of the many other area ski shops install it.

A review that is long overdue. We have relied on the Alpine Shop for years with our family of five. They have helped us navigate skis, boots and bindings as our kids grew. They have helped with our adult gear set ups and boot fitting. Boot fitting in particular has been an absolute game changer, often turning tears into tears of joy. (If you are even thinking about it, do it! Go here, they are certainly the most experienced) Quality and service are incredibly high. Timing is always surprisingly quick for how busy they are, and you can always tell they truly want the best for you, with your gear enhancing your experience on the mountain. Pricing is incredibly fair, and they would break the normal paradigm, where I’d argue you get more than you pay for here. An incredibly unique aspect is their presence on Schweitzer Mountain as well, which just makes things much more convenient when you are up riding.

I stopped in the Alpine Shop at Schweitzer after snowboarding. The retail person was super helpful in finding the things I needed. They will special order whatever size you want. I also checked out the Alpine tune shop which is really well outfitted to wax and tune boards and skis! Now, I’m ready to ride!

So many good things to say about this shop. The owners have created such an amazing place to shop, get service done, or just chat conditions and gear. The whole Alpine crew are always so friendly and stoked to help me out, so I can keep on enjoying all the outdoor recreation here. Thank you guys!

Just bought a pair of step in snowboarding boots from Alpine. Boot fitter was so helpful, getting me set up with the right size (so important) and getting that boot to feel as confortable as possible for me. Highly recommend you go in to Alpine to find that perfect snowboarding boot. Not a great on-line purchase.

These guys are great! I don’t know if it’s because they work at a ski resort so they’re living the dream, or it comes down from the boss or what, but it feels like they have internalized the golden rule which is always treat people the way you would like to be treated. It feels like they really want to help you. I’ve been coming here for 25 years and I’ve never been disappointed.

Zach was awesome! Went in with an old board with hodgepodge bindings that needed a new toe strap. He found an old one and put it on and we were back in business. Service above and beyond. The day before we were in returning two rental skis and the guy there was also super helpful finding me some old 3 hole Burton pucks. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Emily at the Alpine Shop in Sandpoint was incredible. So knowledgable, kind and hard working. I was there (tonight) on a very busy night and she simultaneously helped three of us with ease. She patiently helped me find the perfect boots, skis and bindings and arranged to get them ready overnight for pickup at the mountain tomorrow!! The rest of the staff we chatted with were equally kind and helpful. If you need any winter gear, this should be your first stop.
