Went here to get ski boots for my son an was really impressed! It was the end of the season so selection was sparse but the staff was really helpful and the boot fitting is top notch. I had my own boots fitted in Park City Utah and Alpine Ski fitting was as good or better and best of all it was included in the price of the boot!!! In UT I paid hundreds extra for the detailed fitting.

Not only was the fitting excellent they include re-fitting after you use the boots. This is essential as you never really know how the fit will be on the slopes. My son had some rub and pinch points 1st time out with the boots so we went back and they re-molded the shell to make space. I like supporting a local shop and in this case, in my opinion, the quality of service was better than the competition. Highly recommend.

Dropped off our racket and by the time we finished our lunch, he had the racket strung for us before the holiday weekend. Always fantastic service. Thank you!

Very knowledgeable and helpful! Listen to them! I’ve struggled with finding comfortable ski boots for many years, I have bought many pairs I couldn’t use for more than a day due to extreme pain. I spoke to the gentleman for a few minutes, spent the time to heat mold the liner there and heat mold the better soles they recommended. I ended up with a pair that I was able to ski in for a week with no pain whatsoever, I forgot I even had new boots on. I didn’t end up needing any adjustment, but if you buy from them and had some discomfort/problems they said they would help adjust for free! You can probably find gear cheaper elsewhere, but the expertise makes spending a bit more here well well well worth it

Not really helpful customer service for me. A short guy with beard in blue shirt seems to help with ski selection but wasn’t really providing any helpful information but instead told us “Everything! Everything is different between men’s skis and women’s skis.” He did not tell us what is different. Feels like asking a stupid question…

Summary - Came in ignorant and wanting to buy a snowboard, boots, and bindings. Walked out with a snowboard, boots, bindings, an understanding of the products and the options I'd selected, ideas of ways I could improve my snowboarding, and YouTube channels that could provide further education. Awesome! After using the purchased items for two days, I can tell I got what I wanted and am going to be using these products for years to come. You rock Alpine Ski Shop!

More detail - I'd always used rentals in the past so I knew zero about the desired products. While at Alpine Ski Shop, I was given solid person-to-person interaction, education and answers to questions, and enough options so I felt I had a good set of choices but not too many that I felt overwhelmed. They have a wide range of gear - enough that I'd have no idea where to start if I walked in their alone. The gear that I walked out with has been excellent. Best, they helped me explore what I was wanting out of the products and catered the options to my wants.

SHOUTOUT TO KENNY! Bro, what I learned in our conversation and the items you connected me with led to a great weekend at Massanutten Ski Resort with old friends. Because of you, I didn't get a board - I got MY board. Thanks! Also, Malcolm Moore's channel has helped me figure out why I'm encountering certain problems and ways to better my techniques. Great recommendation! Thanks again Kenny, and keep shredding the gnar!

I had a pair of ski bindings adjusted and a pair mounted at this store. They set the binding adjustment totally odd on both, and drilled too deeply for the binding screws on one pair. A shop in Snowmass was kind enough to correct the settings when I was skiing there. I stopped in this store to try to kindly let them know they had quality control issues. The manager was highly defensive and told me some kid in the shop in Snowmass gave me bad information. That’s odd; because, the technician in Snowmass looked to be in his forties. Also, the manager at Alpine Ski Shop blamed drilling too deep for the bindings on the skis being thinner than others. The shop was hoping I didn’t notice this issue, rather than owning up to their mistake.

I won’t shop at this store again.

Come on, man. Still family owned after more than half a century? These cats HAVE to be doing something right, and it turns out… they are.

My family has been shopping at Alpine Ski Shop since the mid 1970’s, and the Sterling location has the same Bunch-family friendliness, the same competence, the same technical knowledge, the same thoughtful product mix, and the same competitive pricing. I was immensely proud to equip my 13 year old son there today, because it felt nostalgic in all the ways I love tradition and modern in all the ways I love modernity.

We’re skiers, but they’re every bit as well stocked for snowboarders. And tennis players.

Give them a try!
