Absolutely stunning nature preserve that is extremely biodiverse with a pine tree forest on the northern loop trail that was planted as a Christmas tree farm that was never harvested! Thank goodness! It's extraordinary how the trees form a natural hallway/canopy and gives the feel of being insulated by these gorgeous white pines! Very peaceful and fragrant. There are many old growth trees along the trail as well, and a beautiful and clean creek that runs through the Louise Landau Nature Trail on the north end near Freyer road. This is where the trail goes from beautiful to extraordinary! Don't miss it in the winter. There is no one out there but the deer and other wildlife. Parking is pretty limited off Meer road, but both times I've gone I was the only one in the lot. Enjoy this exceptional trail and alot at least 2.5 hours to see it all!

It's a really beautiful trail that they clearly do great upkeep on. However you can't stop to appreciate the scenery because the mosquitoes will eat you alive, even in the middle of the day. Maybe save this one for the fall.

This is one of the nicer Nature Preserve hikes I have done in Indiana. Did the north trail 1.4 mi Lovely mature trees, creek, vernal pool, and some wildflowers were blooming. Thanks to the volunteers who maintain the trails and invasives, excellent job!!

I saw on eBird that this is a birding hotspot. It definitely is! Within five minutes I found a Canada Warbler, which is pretty cool and definitely not an everyday sighting in this part of the country. Some of the trails are muddy, but that's understandable case there's been a lot of rain in the whole area recently. Otherwise, the trails are quite easy. You might want to bring bug spray too.

Beautiful wooded path. Parking for about 6-7 cars. There was a ton of poison ivy close to the beginning of the path by the parking lot, but it cleared up as you went further in.

Beautiful little park...Anyone who appreciates nature will enjoy time spent here.
Tons of interesting and unusual flora. Would be a suitable park for seniors as the loop isn’t incredibly long and there are no hills.

Honestly? Meh. Not bad, but nothing striking or unusual, or remarkably pretty to look at. We didn't even finish the trail, even the dog got bored.

Park here but hike in the area east of Meer Road. See the map on the Shirley Heinze Land Trust website. Really delightful forest with a primeval feel. Some boardwalks over small streams and muddy areas, but waterproof footwear and bugspray highly recommended...
