The team at Backwoods soft goods really knows their products! Today I stopped by to pick up some socks for a day hike (on my way to the hike with my family waiting in the car🤣). The salesperson knew exactly where they were, what size I needed, and made a perfect recommendation. I was in and out in four minutes! Had a fantastic hike in my new socks. 👍♥️

Backwoods helped me identify I wore out my kingpins, 500k+ vertical on them, and got me remounted in time for another beautiful day at sun valley. Felt comfortable with the remount as they sold my same skis (dps) I feel like I now have a new ski with my atomic switches. Thanks guys!!!

We came to this store on the way into the sawtooths for a 5 day backpacking trip. Thank god we stopped by. The amount of expertise and knowledge of the area in this store is phenomenal, and they really had an impact on the quality and success of our trip. I highly recommend anybody who comes into the sawtooths from out of the area stop by this store.

I rolled in to the shop at 5:55 p.m. on a Saturday after biking all day and I needed to replace my water filtration bottle to get me home the following day. It had sprung a leak, and I had no way to carry extra water for the ride home. Beers in hand, the crew helped me patch the holes with one of their waterproof patch kits, as they were sold out of the bottle I wanted. Thanks to the amazing staff, my filtration bottle was instantly repaired, it worked with no leaks, and I was able to carry all the water I needed for my bike packing leg the next day! Thank you!

Store does not honor the posted return policy. Bought a 200$ pair of hiking boots that were super uncomfortable. Tried returning them and the saleswoman told me I should’ve tested them while vacuuming my house to insure they were comfortable before using them outside. I personally don’t believe a hiking boot can be properly tested inside. Saleswoman said if I didn’t like their policy to shop at BIG 5 so that’s what I’ll be doing from now on.

recently purchased a water filtration system for my backpacking needs and Lisa was so knowledgable and helpful without any pressure to purchase. Additionally, days later, Laura assisted me with my purchase of Oboz Sawtooth Mid dry hiking boots. She worked with me until I found exactly the right fit. Her knowledge and genuine interest in finding the right boot for my level of activity was so appreciated. Simultaneously, she trouble shooted two other customers and their technical issues without making me feel rushed or making them wait! What a team!
