After flying here with my bike, I split my tire on a short ride the afternoon before I was going to tackle Mauna Kea. The shop was able to get me right in and two new tires (just to be safe) on my bike on 30 minutes. Had a great conversation with the bike mechanic as well. Next time, I am just going to rent a gravel bike from them. Looks like they have a great selection of Cevelos. I learned my lesson it’s probably not worth the headache of flying with you own bike!

Great bike shop for all of your cycling needs. I rented a bike to cycle up Mauna Kea, and they had everything else I needed for my ride as well. Everyone in the shop was very friendly and helpful. Lots of local experience and great advice from the staff, especially about some very nice rides in the area.

Conveniently located in Queen's marketplace, this shop offers great services. It was recommended by my coworkers at Kohala hospital (yes, we are all from Kohala, 30+ miles away because we don't have a bike shop up here) that I should check it out whether I'm buying a new bike, renting one, getting a fit check or repairs. I have been to Bike Works Kona, 25 miles down the Rt. 19 from this shop (55 miles from Kohala). While this shop in Waikola resort is smaller, it still got a good selection of bike accessories and reliable services, which is helpful for the cyclists riding on a long stretch of highway especially for an emergency repair. Today I did an emergency check-in for my bike's shifter which I thought was faulty. Kathryn ("Kat") assessed it and explained to me thoroughly what was happening. Kat was incredibly patient and spent time with me until everything was ok.

This shop is fabulous. After I lost some hydraulic brake fluid on the flight from CA, my braking was nowhere near good enough for any ride beyond Queen K. I was beyond lucky they were able to take care of the brake bleed while I waited getting me on the road and up Mauna Kea the following day. Very reasonable prices and great conversation with the staff as I browsed during the repair. Highly recommend!
