Cool little spot to stop. Is not hard to find do not have to walk up the creek and is not overly buggy. Watch the video if you don't know how to get there from the road.

Cute spot tucked into the neighborhood. Nice walking path and educational on the importance of natural buffers. Viewing the bubbling is best done when it's sunny out with polarized lenses. In September bug spray was not necessary, but in other months it could be.

To reach the spring head south from the parking area down the mowed path, look for a rough trail in the woods halfway down. About a 300ft walk in total.

Beautiful and secluded bubbling springs in Savage. I grew up not far away and never knew about them. There is a trail that doesn’t quiet take you to the creek bank where the springs are however it is possible to walk up the springs until you get to the small lagoon that has 1-2 springs pushing sand up from below. Be careful about the sand there as you may sink into it. Also, be careful to leave no trace as these lands are a restoration area and pristine.

water is NOT boiling lol it was very cold, but it was super cool to see! the sand was bubbling and then kept moving very interesting

Bring 10 cans of SUPER DUPER EXTRA DEEP WOODS OFF, pants, sweatshirt, knee high waders, and mosquito netting, along with a flamethrower!! Oh, and a couple of extra pints of blood. You need all of it!!

Couldn't go all the way to the edge because of muddy slippery slope down. Very beautiful.
