We really enjoyed the lap around the floodplains. We did the 1.7 mile red loop. The trail was mostly flat, mostly level and pretty accessible. We saw some turtles and sand hill cranes. No services but there was a picnic table at the trailhead.

Great place to hike especially in November with cooler temperatures and no bugs! Variety of trails and paths to mix and match. There is a small sulfur spring (in photos). FYI there are wild hogs and wildlife so it’s very interesting walk all along the way!

One of my favorite trails. There are many pathways to take. Little alligators in the ponds. I try to stay for at least 5 mile walks.

Free parking right at trail entrance. Beautiful views as soon as you walk to the loop. Easy trail but didn’t see much wildlife besides birds. Lots of shaded areas during the early morning hours.

The walk is easy., very nice and meandering around the pond. The bridge is repaired. There is a section where the reeds tower over you and you feel like your are below sea level.

Nothing fancy, just Florida in its natural state. Many times, the small things can take your breath away. Get place to get your steps in.

A trail with slight climbs and excellent vistas to view birds like Sandhills Crane and Great Blue Heron. As someone who frequently visits trails in the area, this is a refreshing break from the majority of what is available in Fort Myers/Cape Coral. A cool morning during sunrise would likely be the most incredible time to visit!
