I agree with other comments that have been made. The utility costs go up every year. They are nearly three times what they were when we moved here. Coupled with increasing taxes and PSE rates that seem to go up 15% per year. I can't say I'm getting my money's worth. BL was a nice town when we moved here. Now it is just another big city wasting tax payer dollars and allowing huge tracts of homes and apartments to be built increasing crime.

I contacted them three times about a business license. I gave my information twice and was supposed to receive an email and I have yet to receive the email.

The stop light system was developed by the cheapest bidder they could find. A fifth grader could have made a better system that doesn't punish you with if you get one red light then you will get EVERY red light adding another 15 minutes through this miserable town. We need an overpass that skips Bonney Lake and their low class lights.

If you're looking for extremely slow service and a total disregard for the little guy, you've found the right town.

I started a small business and wanted to do the right thing and get a state business license and a city one as well that just so unfortunately happens to be in this city.

I recently needed a copy of my business license to only discover it still hasn't been processed because of bonney lakes inability to process a two page document.

I go in there on Monday and submit this trivial document, ask when it can be processed. They told me next Monday. I called today and was told the person who processes these papers is out of the office.

I won't comment on the fact when I went in all the government employees were lounging around, laughing acting like there was no work to be done.

City of Bonney Lakes inability to process this simple document has cost me nearly a months worth of pay.

As long as they're getting those large housing development projects I'm sure people like me aren't a priority whose family has lived here since bonney lake had dirt roads.

I'll be glad to leave this overdeveloped soon to be puyallup-type town with the infrastructure only meant to support a few thousand.

This is only directed toward utility costs in this town. I have been living here for 12 years and it has always been more expensive than anywhere I have ever lived. How my bill can go up almost 2.5x our normal billing from this month to last. We have not changed occupancy in our home. Watering my garden was cut back drastically this year. Use in the home has also been unchanged. Over $300 for 3 people just for water/ sewer is theft. Excuses and hot air. Shame on the city for punishing its residence with outrageous utility costs. My heart aches for low income/fixed income families that can lose use because bills like this even made my stomach turn.
A reply is unnecessary as PSE did this same thing last year with new meter monitors and lied to us all about it. My bills increased drastically after as well.
Bonney Lake is letting us know that the cost to live here requires its residence to have 6 figure income, even then it's theft. Like a good citizen I will be forced to pay and act like I like it.

I want to commend you for taking the privacy of your citizens seriously. Although I don't live there, I think it's important to stop this divisiveness, our president, our governor and many other governors are trying to promote regarding Covid and the vaccine. It has been frightening seeing the estrangements that have occurred in families, friends and neighbors this year, reminiscent of communist countries.

You pay taxes to city employees who hide on all day and do no work. Then when you question them on it, they will fire you. Not an honest company. Too many hurt feelings.
