Lack of empathy for their residents/customers . Antequated customer service policies it's not the 60's. Don't move out here you will be very frustrated disappointed if you ever haver dealings with the water company or their landfill. Getting a straight answer is next to impossible customer service nonexistent

If I could give less than the 1 star, I would! I have lived in Kaufman, TX for over 7 years and have never had a pleasant experiance when dealing with this place. I have NEVER had my water disconnected due to non-payment because I ALWAYS pay my bills on time!
I had been out of town for an emergency family matter and forgot to pay my bill prior to leaving town. (my fault, I know) BUT as I stated before and they even confirmed, I ALWAYS pay my bills on time. So when I called to find out why I was being charged $280.00 to reconnect my water when my bill was only $114.00... I was informed that I was being charged ANOTHER $120.00 deposit as well as late fee on top of my bill. The late fee, I understand, but the 2nd $120.00 deposit because I was disconnected ONE time in the whole 7 years I have done business with them?... A little overzealous if you ask me. This establishment is the most money hungry place I have ever dealt with. They know that you have NO OTHER OPTIONS and NO CHOICE but to pay their rediculous charges so therefore they get away with screwing people over. Also, the ladies that answer the phones, I can only imagine are supposed to be "customer service" reps, need to reevaluate their job titles and move around to something where they DONT interact with the public! I CAN NOT WAIT TO MOVE OUT OF KAUFMAN!!!!!

Just spoke to a lady named ANN.
She was very unprofessional and EXTREMLEY RUDE.
I mean just plain out horrible phone experience ever, she did not even let me explain how confused I was on what number I was calling to, she then proceeded to argue with me rather then apologizing and explaining to me what was going on. She then laughed about how I asked the same question twice and said "Ma'am like I said, This is not the right number to call BYE" and hung up.
