Ok I have to put in my 2 cents where the water department is concerned. Our water got turned off but only cuz I forgot to go by there and pay it. I’m not the one that usually pays it so it slipped my mind. Oops, my bad. Use to you could pay it and get it turned back on same day as long as it was before shut off for the day and they never charged for this service. Well now they just had to get deeper in your pockets. We paid it over the automated system in early afternoon but I wasn’t aware that I would have to call down to their office to inform them that I paid my bill. You would think that someone would be monitoring online pmnts but nope they don’t. So, I’m sitting at home ALL day waiting on this guy to come back and turn the water on and it’s now approaching the deadline. When I called up there at 15 till 5 the lady said yes you are supposed to call them to let them know it’s been paid and then they charge a 20 dollar fee for something then another 55 dollars for reconnect fee. Are you flipping kidding me, the water prices have been increased and in addition to that, they are now charging bs fees and if we didn’t get all that done by 455 it would be the next day before they turned it on. So, if someone was struggling to come up with their bill money you better hold up and try and rake up another 75 dollars before they will turn you back on. I then asked the lady could you add that to my bill since I’ve paid what I owed. Well guess what she said? Yep, her answer was no that it needed to be paid before they could come out. I mean they are dipping everywhere they have a notion to and I’m guessing it’s to pay for all their new rides that every city office seems to have. And what is even sadder, the appraisal district can push a button and determine your house is now worth 50,000 dollars more than it was the previous year in order to hike up your taxes, that are already thru the roof. I just want to know who they think they are and why they feel they have the authority to do that. NOBODY should be able to up the value of your house unless it is a licensed appraiser. And the city can hire those appraisers if need be but they shouldn’t sit behind a desk and get push happy on their computers trying to see how much money they can generate from an unaware resident and paying citizen of this city and county. They are quick to put the screwing to us but not quick about fixing the streets in this town that are tearing our vehicles up with all the craters in them, not little pot holes. They want to drive around town and throw out tickets for code violations that aren’t even big violations at least until they got involved. Some ppl are down on their luck and then Cleburne wants to bury them. I’ll stop with this for now but just let me say our legal system in this town and county is corrupted. WTH happened with justice for all? Not so, doesn’t exist. Hope you all have a wonderful evening cuz I sure feel better🥴😁🤨

Have always had a great experience with all staff there. They are prompt, kind, pay attention to detail and do all they can to help. Sharon is THE BEST!!!! I miss Kay but I like all the other ladies as well, along with the guys who go above and beyond for all 40 of my residents.

They will add extra charges to your bill for services they didn’t provide. When confronted at the counter they will act confused or ignore you completely and say they can’t do anything about it. They are quick to blame the post office for any issue with your billing statement not getting to your house. They charge insane rates and deliver poor service.

This is the worst water company. The ladies that answer the phone have little to no customer service skills. I am a mother struggling to pay my bills while getting no help and this water company has been ripping me off. They refuse to come check the meters to see if they are correct the only thing they will do is send past due statements and demand you to pay them before 10 am or they will turn the water off and change even more to turn it back on. This has been the sorriest company I have ever been through and definitely can’t wait to move out of this city.

I would give 0 stars if I could. There is so much bleach in our water, there is always a residue left on the shower floor. I have slipped in the shower twice. Now, while taking a shower my eyes burn, I feel like I have a chemical burn in my esophagus, and my nose burns and I'm constantly sneezing. This is ridiculous and unsafe. Do better. We are people and your water is causing harm to those who live here. I'm a mom and don't feel like it's safe to bathe my child in this "water" or cook with it.

During a pandemic when people are struggling to make ends meet this place will shut your water off if you are even 1 day late making the payment. On top of that they charge you to turn your water back on. We were told we could wait till this Friday to make the payment and that they would not turn off our water. Low and behold today our water was shut off without warning. I will be bringing this up in the next city meeting.. you simply cannot do your citizens and customers this way especially during a pandemic.

Please stop treating the water with chlorine! It smells disgusting and I’m pregnant and can’t stand to take a bath or shower now so thank you very much. Why would you treat water with chlorine that I shower in and brush my teeth with The smell is over powering.

Not sure what the previous person is talking about. The water department is awesome and the service is great! Pay your bills and you don’t have to worry about getting cut off. Just saying...
