An old school classic mountain side ski shop with knowledgeable staff and great gear. I bought a pair of Meier skis and bindings mounted from Wes at a fair price. Very good place to get repairs and tune ups done.

Easy to drop in to get rentals and waxing. I was taken here by some more experienced skiers who prefer this place to the other shops in town. The 3 workers I talked to were all nice and laid back people who were happy to help the minute you walked into the shop. (Bonus points for the chill cat named Marley.)

The boots they rented me for skiing were 4 buckle Salomons that did the job nicely for this newbie. I happened to have skis to borrow but the ones in the shop, as well as the boards, looked well cared for.

Great experience and highly recommend. Bikes were ready and out when we arrived. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff who gave helpful advice as to trails in the area and how to load/unload bikes. Also, we were able to take the bikes for 24 hrs, which other bike rental companies in the area were unwilling to do. Price was great as well.

Would definitely rent from here again!

Went to Purg for the first time. Staff had the reservation and appropriate gear available. One staff member said the ski poles were the correct height while another said they were way too short. Then there was a small chip of the ski which came loose during a fall (due to skiing blue runs only, nothing crazy). Some older woman was like “oh yeah, you’re gonna have to pay for that”. Never experienced such rudeness from a ski shop staff member in all my history of skiing. I’m not sure if she was the manager, but worked at the register. I even gave the 3 stars due to the fact the reservation was good and other staff members were pleasant to deal with.
