Crocs at Queens Marketplace - Waikoloa Village, Hawaii

I was pleasantly surprised to come across a CROCS store. They had some prints that I haven’t seen anywhere else! I also liked the sale that was going on (buy one get one 40 percent off). I had two associates ask if we needed help or were doing okay. My kids (age 2&3) were not on their best behavior and there wasn’t any issue from the employees. One employee offered to put the little gem in my sons croc for us. It definitely is a small space though and seemed pretty busy to me.

I took my 3 kids here to get them all some Crocs and stickers that go on them. I took my 9 year old and showed him the kids section and said this side is the boys and this side is the girls as it was obvious which was which. The manager lady heard this conversation and came over and told my 9 year old boy that it's 2023 and he can be whatever he wants to be and wear whatever he wants. I didn't know that being a manager of a retail allows you to tell me how to raise MY children. As I was checking out, getting all 3 of my kids cross and all the tickets that go with them, I had made a comment that $176 for 3 sandals was a lot, but I was happy to pay it because my kids wanted it and it would make them happy. The same manager lady said "well you got them all to Hawaii so I'm pretty sure you can afford it." I was already paid so I walked out the store. After walking around the rest of the mall, I decided it best to return all the items. I will not give business to anyone so rude or that feels entitled to push her political agenda onto my children. We found better sandals up the road.

I was literally greeted with the look of pure and utter discomfort the moment I walked into the store, as if I immediately did some terrible disservice to the employees or the store itself.

Either the cashier was rude or she was hearing impaired. Maybe she was having a terrible terrible day. The only way this kind of behavior can be justified if she just got bad news (perhaps family problems, perhaps financial troubles).

Given the other reviews here from other points in time (e.g. 2 months ago), I have a feeling she was probably just rude. She refused to answer basic questions (I had to ask 3 times if a certain pair were available in 7, instead of the 6 and 8 on display). She stood at the desk and stared off into space despite me making physical gestures and also asking directly to her politely. I felt as if I were a ghost trying to (unsuccessfully) alert people of my presence.

She repeated "no refunds" about 8 times in the span of 15 minutes to me despite me clearly indicating that I understood the policy.

Otherwise none of the staff was interested in interacting with me in any way. I found a pair that I was interested in and asked if there were any stock in the back - no answer from either employee. The cashier lady simply looked absolutely inconvenienced by my presence. She only said "no refunds", "yes", and "no". No hellos, no salutations, no indications of acknowledgement.

I went in the Crocs store and the employee was super nice. She tried helping me find what I wanted and they had a really good sale going on. I didn't find anything that would fit my very skinny feet, but I was impressed by the kindness of the employee! Keep up the good work!

Stay away from this store, they are incredibly misleading! Half of the crocs on display are shown with charms and one price but at check out they will charge you extra for each charm that is already on the croc. Not a business I would like to support.
