I had the pleasure of doing 4 SCUBA dives with Daly's Dock and Dive Center in Port Saint Joe recently as part of an underwater archaeology training course. From the moment I walked in the shop, I was impressed. Ann Marie was the first to greet our group, and she was so friendly and helpful. She and her husband Ed are clearly passionate about providing exemplary service. Their selection of merchandise is great, and they had an excellent sale on wetsuits that I couldn't resist. There are beautiful kitties in the shop, and the owners work tirelessly to save feral cats and to get them fixed and vaccinated to help reduce the population of unwanted cats in this rural county. I truly admire their compassionate hearts!

I am also a SCUBA diving instructor, and I'm always looking for great shops like Daly's. The owners and crew went above and beyond to make sure our experience was stellar. Daly's is also very safe...we waited for a storm to clear before doing the afternoon dives. Setting up gear is a bit different here...you set up in the back parking lot before loading on the boat, then you walk across the street to meet the boat. Though everyone there was excellent, we mainly interacted with Gabbi and Michelle who we absolutely loved! Michelle is a great boat captain and put us right on the Vamar. Due to our large group, they contracted with another boat captain named Mike who was very experienced and kind. I had left a sea urchin shell on his boat, and he took the time to come back to the shop to return it to me. Also, I get cold easily, and between dives, Ann Marie brought us awesome boat coats we borrowed to keep warm! Customer service could not have been better.

I had not been to Port Saint Joe in several years, and I was blown away at what a hip, trendy town it has become. There are many wonderful restaurants and attractions (including the lighthouse) within walking distance of the dive shop. Our group took full advantage of the prime location and dined, shopped, and did some sightseeing after our excellent experience with Daly's Dock and Dive Center. I highly recommend this shop and will definitely return!

What a pleasure it was to meet Ed & Wolf today ! 🙂 Such a genuine & friendly soul. He was very helpful in helping me locate the perfect skim board for my friends child. Outstanding selection available for basically anything needed for a beach day and very reasonable prices.. I definitely recommend Daly’s for any of your water sports needs or for beachwear gear!

We stop here once or twice each year when we visit Cape San Blas. Employees are friendly, and they have a wide range of things you can use on the beach or in the ocean. Also, the cats are pretty cool 🙂

Very cute little shop with some higher end souvenirs. We bought a beautiful kite that we can't wait to play with! Also found these neat bracelets. They give you a code for an app so you can track a sea turtle and make a donation to sea turtle conservation. My daughter was thrilled!

I had a great time diving with them last Saturday. I didn't have to worry about anything. They handled all my gear. I had forgotten my booties and called ahead. They had a set waiting for me when I got there. They have a great selection and know everything about every piece of equipment they sell. My wife really enjoys the clothes and jewelry they sell. They have a customer for life with us.

Advice to the store... don't give someone the option to email you to confirm an appointment if you don't check the email then cancel the trip because "you didn't hear from them". they rarely answer the phone, i was in class all week and unable to make a call. by the time I got home they were closed, so I emailed to confirm. got there today ready to go only to wait on the porch for 15 minutes before the owner came out very rudely to tell us it was canceled. my boyfriend took the day off work without pay for this. I will not be going back. sadly, I paid $600 in equipment at this facility. I wish I would have given someone else my money who actually pretends to care about their customers. the owner didn't even offer to reschedule or anything. rude, terrible customer service.
Update: after seeing the response from the owner, I would like to add that the voicemail I received did not give any instructions regarding a deposit. Considering I never heard back from anyone via email or phone call in response to my email, I assumed I would pay for the excursion at the desk. Again, zero communication from the staff to the customer's. And I would not email my credit card information if asked! I would suggest maybe a secured website to pay for the deposit? And if this is already in place, then have the staff relay this information. Just a suggestion.

Stopped in for the closeout sale and asked about a sun bum display Sonny. Ed gave a rude response that it was broken (it was not), his wife runs the store, and they paid $100 for it (its $40 online). A simple "no” would have sufficed, but I got an aggravated lecture instead. Walking out I mumbled, "No wonder this place is going out of business." Yeah, that was my bad, I’m sorry for it. Ed followed me outside and loudly asked what did I mean. I told him because of terrible customer service, which he then started to yell and curse at my 2- and 4-year-old, wife, and I. After reading comments, most of them good, but the bad one’s mention Ed as the problem. I feel sorry for Ann but seems Ed might be a cause for the store closing.

My family and I rented two paddle boards from Daly's after driving over from St. George island during our vacation. We rented them at an exceptional rate, and thoroughly enjoyed them. The staff here is exceptional and always excited when engaging with any customer. During our two visits we encountered four employees, all of which were a pleasure to speak with and execute their job with excellence. We made the 30 minute drive because of a previously unsavory visit with the Island Outfitters on St. George's Island and were relieved to find Daly's not just acceptable, but exceptional. They helped our day end with a smile. We definitely plan on returning when we visit again, despite the extra hour long trip.
