The name is accurate - this does feel like an enchanted forest! If you’re fortunate enough to come here in the winter months after a dusting of snow, the green lines trees plus the white snow on the ground really makes for great ambiance. This is a great place to explore for a little bit at the top of Pine Mountain Club - it’s just a short drive from the center of town and you don’t have to walk very far into the forest to have a great time. When we visited, we stumbled across a snowman someone built alongside a teepee and a whole ring of rocks surrounding it! It was almost like they were camping - pretty cool! You can have a snowball fight here and just have fun in the snow. We sure did. Definitely make the drive if you’re already in the area! It’s worth it!

What a magical trail! This is a little more challenging trail than the nearby Waterfall Trail in steepness and ups and downs. But, it is a smoother path, where as the Waterfall Trail narrows into thick vegetation and you end up having to climb over rocks as you near the waterfall. On the Enchanted Forest Trail, you are great by tall, thick trees as well as small lizards and shallow brook that you will have to cross over a couple of times. A good pair of waterproof hiking boots/shoes will be perfect. Make sure you have good tread as some inclines are steep. Do keep pets on a leash as you can see in the photos, a short distance from the trailhead, we spotted a coyote that popped out right in front of us. We saw a little house and a little bridge left for the "little people" who reside in the forest. Please do not disturb these items, they are sacred. You would not want a giant to come mess with your home would you? We did not make it to the end of the trail this time because of the smoke from the wildfires was too thick in the air, but maybe next weekend I will update with more. Until...

The trail is beautiful and the name is fitting. There are some steep ups and downs, but manageable with caution. A nice stream is by your side and very peaceful.

Pretty trail! There is a defined path to follow the entire way but it gets a bit obscured by downed trees and overgrown plants - it doesn't appear maintained. I hiked with a medium-sized dog and she was able to make it over the obstacles though some were sketchy; wouldn't recommend for smaller or older dogs. Saw a handful of other parties along the way. Recommend for something short & sweet in the area!

I'd imagine this is lovely at other times of the year, but don't go in late August when it's hot and there are lots and lots of flies!

It was also hard to find the trail at times; unlike many photos that people have posted, I did not see a lot of trail markers. ?‍♂️
