Overall, this place is not horrible but you have to aware of the wait time. It is insane just how long you will wait to get your rental. Albeit we went during peak season, we waited 3 hours to get skis. They will tell you to come early but we showed up at 9am and did not walk out until noon. And if you get skis after 3pm you don’t pay for that day - so the line burned up half the day of the rental. Truthfully, the staff is helpful and accommodating. Writing this review in hopes that management will hire more of the solid staff they have and turn the 3 hour purgatorial experience into a functional business.

I did do a half day beginner lesson earlier in my trip. At that time I got the rental in a timely fashion and really appreciated a great lesson from Travis.

All in all a true 3 star business (I’d do 5 for the instructors alone) with a line that will have you questioning your sanity and financial decisions.

The staff at Epic Mountain Rentals - Buffalo Lodge have zero sense of urgency. Not a single one of the workers has shown any care that people are spending money to be serviced by them. Waiting over 2 hours to get rental equipment that was reserved and paid for the day before is less than acceptable. I understand skiing is a luxury, however at the rate we are going this will cost my family over $100 per person per hour that we will get to be on the slopes…

Go anywhere but here to rent your ski/ snowboard equipment as the wait is completely unacceptable

Been waiting in line for 2 hours to rent 1
pair of kids skis. We still don’t have them yet. Half the day is almost over. Rent from someone else. Horrible experience

As others have noted - EXTREMELY SLOW!
What a disappointing way to start what should be a beautiful day of skiing.
I will NOT be a repeat customer.
The employees are friendly. I'm sure they're disappointed in their management as well!

The staff are incredibly generous, hard-working, and in general, amazing people! I've never had such friendly service before.... As an experienced snowboarder, I highly recommend to rent all your snow gear here. They offer great selections at extremely affordable prices. They even offered me a brand new board to rent out and added various discounts to ensure I get the cheapest price.. Again, very experienced, professional staff, that care highly about their customers and ensure the best service is offered.

Trust me, I've been to various ski resorts all over North America, but never has I ever experienced such great service as Epic Mountain Rentals. If you ever visit, ask for staff nicknamed "Q" (Short for Marquise). He went above and beyond to ensure my experience at Keystone was awesome 🙂

Absolutely DO NOT RENT HERE! It will take you 2 1/2 hours to get IN THE DOOR when there is barely anyone in line because the employees move so slow. I have wasted almost $90 of my lift ticket standing in line. My advice, choose another rental shop away from river run.

We've rented from River Run several times this season and the knowledgeable staff has always been so helpful in getting us in the right equipment. Most recently, Kyle's enthusiasm was infectious and helped us begin to understand the ins and outs of all the technology involved in snowboarding. We are more excited than ever to continue learning and exploring!
