The property operates from a position of profound logistical intelligence: situated as a direct tributary to the I-75 artery, it provides travelers with an experience of near-frictionless ingress and egress. This strategic placement is complemented by a constellation of at least a half-dozen restaurants within a five-minute constitutional, rendering the automobile blessedly superfluous for evening sustenance.

Internally, the hotel executes its brand promise with an uncommon fidelity. While the rooms adhere to the familiar Fairfield blueprint, they are maintained to a standard of impeccable cleanliness. It is the service, however, that elevates the establishment from reliable to remarkable. The mobile check-in was a model of efficiency, culminating in keys materialized upon arrival. More significantly, this is a rare outpost in the Marriott portfolio that honors nuanced pre-arrival requests—extra pillows and towels were not an afterthought, but an anticipated fact.

This operational grace was punctuated by two delightful discoveries: the surreal presence of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, a totem of Americana resting in the parking lot, and the business center’s printer, a masterclass in functional design with its seamless, device-agnostic cloud-print capability. It is this synthesis of meticulous service, practical innovation, and a touch of the wonderfully absurd that defines the stay, making it a truly memorable waypoint.

The employees went above and beyond their duties. Since it's the day for at Mackinac bridge, they put breakfast at 4:30am to accommodate their customers who are participating. We really appreciated it very much. Kudos to all of them.

We unexpectedly needed rooms for 2 nights for a work event. Although already very booked, the staff worked to find rooms and were able to accommodate us. Service was over and above expectations and rooms very clean. Thank you for pulling through!

I’ve traveled for years for work and for pleasure and am currently platinum elite with Marriott, not bragging just establishing my familiarity with travel.

The door to our room didn’t close automatically, I left my teenage daughter in the room to shower taking my boys to the pool, when we returned one of my sons announced “oh the room is already open”. That was actually a pretty scary moment, while I like Marriott as a whole, they do not have a good feedback mechanism and locally managed hotels rarely follow up. While at the pool which was relatively small, we used the hot tub until we discovered what we hope was food or some others debris at the bottom of the hot tub, we exited immediately but that was disappointing.

Based on those two things would have a hard time recommending this hotel.

I arrived to a power failure due to an accident near the hotel. The staff was well prepared and very communicative. They managed to make everyone feel comfortable until it returned after a couple of hours.
This is my go-to hotel when I am in the area for business. The amenities are great, comfortable, quiet and clean (shout out to Lola for doing a great job in my room).

My car broke down not too far from Gaylord on a Sunday after I had traveled for a wedding, leaving me stranded. Words cannot describe how much the staff were accommodating for me. It meant the world to me that they were understanding and kind. My car did get fixed that Tuesday afternoon and I made it home safely 🙂
