Nursing staff is great. Employees are great. Clean safe environment stay far away!!! I have lung cancer this is where Dr. Suite Lia sent me there half in dust bunny's hanging from the ceiling.This is not what a clean safe environment is. Munster Health Department please step in and make this (hospital) keep house properly or close it down.

Denise Shackelford who works the checking in for patients on the Internal medicine floor has ALWAYS been very kind for the many times I’ve come there. She greets you with a friendly smile, has a very warm and caring personality, and determined to fix a situation when there’s an issue. Having being treated with such kindness helped my visit to be less stressful. Thank you Denise!

Not only did they take my son to the back to put him to sleep before they had the family come in to hug him and see him before they put him to sleep… There was poop all over the floor in the room that they had us wait in, and then try to tell me that it was a rust stain from the chair. The chair had plastic pieces on the bottom of the legs!!! The last time I checked plastic does not rust, and the stuff on the floor had texture to it. Rust stains do not have texture! ... I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone! Their surgery waiting room doesn't even have a access to the cafeteria or any kind of food. So be prepared if you have to sit and wait for anyone having surgery.

I have always been treated with respect and dignity and quickly. Yesterday I went in for severe eye pain it felt like I had hot daggers in my eyes. And blurry vision. They did a CT I was told there was nothing there. And I was told to go see a specialist the one I saw downtown at the University of Illinois I had came home and had vomited the pain was so bad and was in bed at 6:00 at night with cold packs on my face and my eyes. And I am home alone today because I have nobody here to help me and I am disabled. I found the Ed to express what had happened to me and they said there's nothing they could do about it. I never even saw a physician.

BEWARE. I love fransican but this hospital is not it. We usually got to the one in crown point but decided to come here to bring my son. Staff at the front desk are rude. They take forever although it wasn’t busy when we got here. We were there for over 5 hours. Rude staff. Doctor was okay and one of the nurses were okay. I will never be using their emergency room again. And to anyone who actually needs attention quickly please go somewhere else, don’t waste your time here. (There was a lady who waited over an hour to be seen…). Very disappointed.
