Went in yesterday to get fitted for some workout/running shoes and the staff was very friendly. Really listened to what I wanted and was able to help me find something that fit. Prices were right on with what you’d expect (same as Amazon) and loved supporting a small business! Huge thanks to Susan as well for sizing for a high impact sports bra!

My husband hates shoe shopping. I have to basically kidnap him and take him. The employees here are always so great to work with. They ask pertinent questions about his needs and make recommendations and have him try on several pairs. I very much appreciate how attentive and personable they are to work with.

SO amazing of a business. The owners truly put their customers first, and are willing to work out any issues that might develop with any of their products. I have been going to them for shoes for many years. My feet have thanked me for that decision! My latest pair, below!

Nice little store with attentive staff. Great experience and steady flow of clients were managed well. What makes me a return customer, is how they would rather refer you to a different business to ensure you get the correct shoe vs just making a sell with some other show. I will be back here first for future fitness needs! The only improvement I could suggest would be more color options, but that may not be within their inventory controls. Yessi (I hope that's spelled correctly) was absolutely great!!

Horrible customer service by one of the associates. I was told to talk to my “little gym buddies” about what shoes they wear, after I told her the specific Altras I was looking for.

Went into the store today to check out some shoes I have been looking for. One of the service reps was very kind, she even told me about a bargain bin downstairs. While I was browsing that bin, another service rep came down stairs, was very rude and asked what I was doing. I told her I was looking for a specific type of Altras for the gym, and she said I should instead go talk to my “little gym buddies” as they would have better recommendations since those Altras are running shoes…. I was looking for those specific shoes for running….at the gym.

I will take my business elsewhere and suggest you do as well.

I love this place! I am a local Podiatrist and love sending my patients here. Laurie runs a tight ship there and has amazing medical experience combined with a love and knowledge of shoes and running! They watched me walk and run and helped me find amazing shoes. Go here before going online and be open minded with the colors. They will help you find the best shoe for you and what you do! Strongly recommend them!!

I HIGHLY recommend Gallagher if you're looking for running shoes! It's a long post but worth the time to read it.

My daughter runs high school track and XC and has suffered multiple stress fractures in the last two years. We are so glad we went to Gallaghers to get her fitted for shoes. Matt was extremely attentive and knowledgable. He has coached XC and is a runner himself. There was extensive communication between he and my daughter as she tried on various shoes and finally narrowed it down to two pairs. He asked about her injury history, her custom orthotics and continued to communicate with her and ask her questions throughout the process. He closely watched her as she ran and was able to identify certain shoes that were not working well for her mechanically. His observations matched what my daughter was experiencing. Susan also provided us some excellent resources regarding the recurring stress fractures.Susan is a very experienced runner throughout high school, college and competitively beyond that. I would highly recommend Gallagher for their experienced knowledge and excellent customer service.

We had purchased my daughter's shoes from Gallagher in the past but because of her stress fractures were recommended to go to Road Runners in Portland because of all of their high tech assessment equipment. The high tech was was very enticing and somewhat informative but fell flat without the knowledge base of the sales associates to use the tools effectively. There was little feedback between my daughter and the associate and the shoe we would have ended up with was not the right shoe so I'm glad we did not purchase them. I felt like the associates were trained on the basics of reading the information generated by the high tech equipment but they did not have the experience to use the information well. It felt like going to Home Depot and having a twenty-something kid trying to help you with a plumbing question. Very nice but just not very knowledgable. I just didn't have a good feeling about the experience so I decided to head back to Gallagher. The experience level and attentiveness to our needs at Gallagher was unmatched compared to Road Runners. I am more than happy that we went back to Gallagher. It's a great local businnes as well. And my daughter got the student-athlete discount.
