Why can you ONLY apply online, by phone, or in person? Why isn't there an option to print the application/claim forms out so they can be mailed or faxed? Always have issues logging in and calling is just a long wait. I get YOU don't want the paperwork, but you don't make it convenient or give options for people who may be older, etc. Would sure make it easier for some people.

This place is of no help at all you would be better off waiting on the phone with unemployment. I visited the gaylord unemployment building on Wednesday october 30th not knowing I needed a appointment which wasn't a problem so I talked with the female security guard she took my driver's license and set me up with an appointment on Friday November 1st. Needless to say I drove all the way from afton to find out that the building is closed. I looked at every paper they had on the door and the only day that stated they would be closed was November 5th for voting. I talked with a lady from the health department and she stated that she thinks that unemployment changed their hours again and are now closed Thursday and Friday. If I could have given no stars I would have because this situation is already stressful enough and it just added to everything going on.

Gretchen has been assisting me for the last two weeks and has been amazing! She has been walking me through my crazy situation. Always a smile on her face and a person you can tell that takes her job seriously and cares about the people that come in. It is by appointment, but I’ve never had to wait more then 20 minutes to get in! Very thankful for all the help Gretchen!

Terrible phone service options I don’t call the phone number to talk to a computer that’s gunna hang up on me and not buy me on a call list or put me of hold that was just a waste of my time this is very annoying and very complicated. New phone system ASAP.

You can't actually talk to the people who make the determinations. All you can do is talk to the representatives of those people.

Made appointment at this location. And a guy by the name of Rob who works there.Chose NOT to hear my case solely because he doesn’t know his policy. In which it states all department of labor offices have to have an alternative method to verify a customer ID if for whatever reason they don’t have a ID card handy. We all know it’s NOT illegal to be homeless in the state of Michigan and this guy Rob violated my rights as a US citizen and he needs to stopped. He did this to me so freely. It’s no way he doesn’t do it regularly to people. It’s just sad that we have to have people like this as our public servants. Just horrible customer service.
