Matthew did an excellent job of helping me get fitted with Birkenstocks and shopping for my grandies. The store has an excellent selection of outdoor and camping gear. It’s convenient and close to a lot of shops in Lincoln Square and has a wide assortment for men and women. I highly recommend this store for your outdoor needs.

Came in looking for gloves and Hannah was super helpful. When I didn’t see anything like what I was looking for she went in back to grab her gloves to show me what she wears and then looked them up to see if any of their stores had them. It showed one being in stock in their stores so she looked through the racks to find it for me!

I checked on an online website that the product is available on the website so I came here to buy it but it was none. The staff briefly went inside the storage and told that it might be an error or hiding somewhere. Unacceptable, i have traveled for an hour to be disappointed ! Nor the suggestion is useful at all.

I love this place! I have popped in briefly in the past, but actually came in yesterday for a few specific things and was not disappointed. The selection is a bit smaller than places like REI, but everything they have is sooo good and easy to find. Megan, the sales associate helping us out was seriously great. She was not overbearing at all, giving us the freedom to shop, but super genuinely helpful and knowledgeable. She went above and beyond and deserves a raise. I’m definitely super excited to keep shopping here- a gem in the neighborhood!

Have been coming here essentially since they first opened as Uncle Dans. Love having an outdoors store in my neighborhood and being able to buy quality brands I enjoy locally. Many of the employees have been there for years it seems and provide great service.

It's so great to have the accessibility to the gear when you need it most! I love having this store so close to home so I can try things on. They are always so helpful and the sales are great! What I wanted wasn't in stock and they shipped it for free to my home from another store. I got it the next day. Very happy with the service and selection at Uncle Dan's.

Great selection of outdoor equipment and nice, quality, fashionable casual clothes. Staff is always super friendly and they go out of their way to help with any questions and make good suggestions, including travel tips! Pretty expensive in general, but it's all quality stuff from good brands, they usually charge manufacturer retail price, so it's fair. You usuallt can find some good things on sale too, but sizes on sale clothes is limited. Overall terrific, just wish it wasn't so expensive. At least you're supporting a local business and get good products.
