They have a nice selection of women’s safety toes shoes, I like this store because they carry more than most stores and I hate ordering online to just send them back, that process can take months to find the right shoe or boot! I only wish their website was up because I like to look to see what is in stock before I come.

I've been waiting since August to receive my pair of sketchers shoes whom they have to another employee at my work facility thinking it was me. Since this time I've had to reach out to them and I've had 2 text messages from them. The bottom line still haven't received my shoes I'll never choose them again

So I’ve read quite a few reviews before I went to Gilvin’s. It was pretty much 50/50 on the reviews as far as overall customer experience. My experience was great. They didn’t have the boot I was looking for in particular, but they had my back up choice and I’m actually glad I went with this boot instead. They had an extensive selection of really great brands. They had top shelf to the apprentice making his way up affording what you can when you can, but still getting a good boot or good work shoe. After my experience I’m starting to think it’s the people who left bad reviews that were the problem or just expect to much from a boot store like it’s a hotel in Vegas lol. The gentleman who helped me was very informative, told him my industry and type of work and he put me in the right direction. Hell he even threw in a free hat that I was going to pay for at the counter and said no worries I got the hat. The cost of the hat was what I would have paid alone in taxes on the boot so much appreciated guy at the counter with the long hair. Great boots and prices and service and the money is going to a small business instead of amazon. Which is why I went to Gilvin’s in the first place because amazon decided to cancel my order after already waiting a week for my boots because they didn’t have the stock to fulfill my order. Will be going to Gilvin’s as long as they are around.

Easy to locate the steel toe or other work boots. They are friendly and helpful if you have questions or need a size they don't carry. They made it easy for me to exchange a pair of boots for a different size.

Website showed boots up to size 17 in some brands, went in store to get boots and the guy behind the counter who didn't even turn the open sign on couldn't have cared less about customer service. He played on his phone, I asked the shoe sizes they go up to and he said 14 and stopped talking. Didn't mention that their sizes go higher than that and if I wanted bigger shoes they could be ordered. I asked if any were picture resistant and he said yea 1 pair. And then stopped talking again. If I were a boss of this store I would fire him on the spot, absolutely zero customer service and did not even remotely try and sell me a pair of boots despite me being the only person in the store. I am buying a pair of boots today but this guy made sure it was not going to be from his store.

Very disappointing and disrespectful customer service.

I was seriously going to get a shoe here because I seen another FedEx employee who mentioned the great customer service I did not experience this perhaps I'm the wrong skin tone I don't know I digress. I don't work at a shoe store so I'm not knowledgeable about shoes I just know what feels good and what does not. I have some questions to narrow down my choices but belittling and condescending and maybe you're having a bad day Surfer goatee guy but after the fifth insult of belittling my knowledge of shoes I walked out and I won't be returning ever. That kind of customer service is uncalled for and honestly I don't know what the source of your frustration understandably I misused "composite toe Footwear" for "lightweight boot"... and as I said before I left sorry to waste your time and I won't waste my time on you anymore than this.
