I was there for RIMPAC and had to organize a meet and greet and the atmosphere was amazing. The rocks in the water hurt lol so wear sandals but I love it there.

I love this place. Amazing snorkeling and paddle boarding to be had here. It's not usually packed and you can almost always find parking because the beach is military access only and not many people go to it due to it being relatively well hidden.

Be aware this beach isn't great for wading as it's pretty rocky and incredibly shallow. Be prepared for a very shallow reef if you want to snorkel, but the reef is alive and there's plenty of fish to see. The water is very calm and clear.

PLEASE pick up garbage that you see and that you brought with you. Keep this beach clean for everyone (and everything) to enjoy!

A great snorkeling, paddle boarding, and beach day spot. The pavilion has an outhouse and trash cans. Can be very windy at times.

Very nice beach if you are on Marine Corp Base Hawaii. ID was checked coming across the run way. My visit was mid day during the week so few people. Primitive camp sites. Portable toilets are provided. Couple of covered areas which can be rented. Parking lot is dirt. Large coral reef just off shore which is great for snorkeling.

Gentle waters, the area is very nice with shaded areas and park benches. Not too much sandy beach wise but the water stays shallow (below waist deep) for a long distance. Water shoes not necessary but definitely recommended.
