The Indian Rockhouse Trail in Buffalo National River, Arkansas, is a fun and moderately complex hike. It's about 3 miles long and takes you through beautiful forests, past small waterfalls, and ends at a large cave called the Rockhouse. The trail has some steep and rocky parts, making it enjoyable for hikers. Along the way, you might see wildlife and astounding rock formations. It's an excellent choice for people who enjoy nature and want a nice outdoor adventure. Two friends and I went, and one of my friends was in awe for the entire hike. We took our time to hike because there were some small caves to see before reaching the Rockhouse. The two best parts about the cave was that one, you didn’t know where the waters were coming from or going. Two, there’s a part where you climb to keep exploring deeper into the cave. It was a fantastic hike!!

I have hiked both trails that originate at this location. The Indian Cave trail was a little more strenuous than the river trail. The Cave at the end is marvelous. A large Cave with an underwater stream barely visible but ice cold and created a very soothing sound. Arkansas hiking is amazing!

This is a beautiful hike..a good workout but very rewarding and worth it. It is really pretty when the stream has water but we enjoy it no matter the season. A must do if your in the area. It doesn't usually tend to be super busy.

We have walked this trail twice and highly recommend it. It's fun walking when there has been rain as the river beside it is beautiful. That being said last time we did it in August..the creek bed was dry but there are still several waterfalls and swimming hole spots. The trail does involve a lot of hills so not stroller friendly.

Fantastic hike through the woods. Tons to look at on the way to Indian Rock. Few spots on the way out were a little steep. Loved it!

I've been on this trail several times. On this occasion there were lots of springs coming out of the side of mountain slopes. There are crystal clear, beautiful streams and best of all is the large cave half way through the trail. That cave has a continuous flow of water out of the back of it that goes underground and exits farther down stream in a creek.

Great trail! Took a few scouts on a hike. This is 3.5 miles but with elevation and way trail was, it gave a good work out. The Indian Rockhouse was so great. I bet we seen 3 different water springs or where water came from.
