Privately owned pocket liners. Steer clear of this city, especially if you're incredibly poor, once you're stuck here, the only infrastructure is run down liquor stores and a defunct Walmart. The police only show if there is a homicide and the water,... Tastes like pure chemical after sitting out for only an hour.

The people in the office are friendly and helpful, my only complaint is that they are very behind the times with their billing and service set up. I am investor so we are turning utilities on and off a lot, Jackson county water is one of the few that requires you to go in person. I live a half hour away from the office, it is a huge inconvenience to have to take an hour out of my day and drive out there every time I want to make a change. At a minimum it would be very helpful if they would allow new account set up via e-mail. A modern online portal like the other utility companies use would be even better.

End of last year, they interrupted my service due to a misunderstanding with the bill. They said there was a notice left on my door, there WAS NOT! They said they shut off the water in January, it WAS Not! Water was shut off in Feb. I paid what I owed over the phone but during the discussion....I was accused of tampering and added it to my bill. They took no accountability for their technician mistake. Months later, my service is interrupted AGAIN ....never received a bill....no notice was left. I'm beyond angry. I have to wait for them to open. I wish I could fire them!

The absolute more unprofessional, out of date utility company I've ever had the displeasure of working with! Do not sign up for e billing with these people because apparently e billing means still receiving paper bills and not having access to relevant, up to date info on your online account. What on earth is the point of e billing then?

Staff rude, superior & condescending. Totally unprofessional! Very quick to shut off service, even when no prior notice is received. Must repeatedly reset up auto payments & e-billing - website is a joke. I'd give them no stars if possible.

I wish I had another choice for service.

Ive had their service for 2 yrs and the only time I had to speak with someone us to start/stop my service. The website is very self service reliable. My bill has always been very low for water and sewage.
