Niece little trails with nice views and ponds. Didn't see much wildlife, but was a nice quiet walk to enjoy the scenery and nature.

Wonderful walk with lots of wildlife. I have seen huge variety of birds, ducks, geese, heron, bald eagles, deer, elk, coyotes, havalina and even swans for a couple day while migrating. Great views off the peaks and ponds.

Lovely wetlands with a large diversity of wildlife. Make sure to walk out to the pond at the north end as they keep that one full. It's got a nice dock that gets you up close and personal for some great photography. The bird watching is truly worth the visit.

A good spot to go for a walk, if you're in the area. Not far off the I-17. The Google directions are correct, but when you enter the parking lot there aren't any visible signs for the preserve. Park and walk through the opening in the gate and as you proceed north you will see a sign for the wetlands.

The wetlands are manmade and are actually sewage treatment ponds. The area was a bit underwhelming as far as birdwatching goes. I did see some Mallards, Juncos, Bluebirds, and a Steller's Jay, but not much else! Would have expected to see a bit more this time of year. Good views of the San Francisco peaks though probably prettier in summer when the grasses are green and wildflowers in bloom. We'll try again next summer!

5 stars for a birding location. Free. Google maps had correct location. Parked near closed gate. Lots of parking area. Was able to start birding right out of the car. Trails through the ponds easy to see. Lots of birds. And a fellow walking dogs had them on leashes as per directions. No hunting. No swimming.

Beautiful place. We saw waterfowl a plenty, a few birds of prey including red tails and an Osprey, several species of fungi, and a big shaggy dog trying to elude capture by a frustrated owner. Good times.

The most beautiful place I’ve been to. Filled with sunflowers and more. Now my happy place. If your looking for peace, a place to meditate and mentally reset, this is the place to be. Surround yourself with nature. Also a great spot for a photoshoot or proposal. Only saw 5 people there.
