The salesperson was overly pushy. My son tried on a pair of boots but didn’t like them. When I declined to buy them, the salesperson insisted, saying they were on sale. I explained that if my son doesn’t like them, he won’t wear them—end of discussion. Yet, he turned to my 3-year-old and asked if he really wanted to keep his current boots while looking disapprovingly at them—completely inappropriate.

When I decided to buy two pairs of shoes and socks, I found out they don’t accept Apple Pay. Since the store was closing, I asked to hold the shoes until the next morning when I could return with my card. Instead, he pressured me to call my husband for a credit card number and even made an unnecessary remark when I declined.

His aggressive sales tactics and misleading discount (the price on the box was the final price) were off-putting. Had he been more professional, I would have returned to complete the purchase. Instead, this was my first and last visit.

Wow. The condescension in your response is truly something special. Let’s break it down:
1. You claim to be “polite and accommodating,” yet your entire message drips with hostility. Keeping your store open an extra hour (it was 15 min) was your choice—if it was such an unbearable inconvenience, you should have just closed on time instead of using it as a weapon later.
2. Not accepting Apple Pay is indeed your decision, but a simple “Sorry, we don’t accept that” would have sufficed instead of this unnecessary defensiveness.
3. The discount request? Newsflash: Customers ask for deals all the time. A professional retailer simply says no instead of launching into a bitter rant. You were telling me repeatedly to buy the boots that are on sale. Still I didn’t get them.
4. Your “flea market” jab? Completely uncalled for and, frankly, unprofessional. If you think insulting potential customers is a good business strategy, good luck staying in business.

All in all, your response says more about you than it does about me.

I bought both of my daughter’s shoes from here and they are 32 and 30 years old now. Now buying shoes for my granddaughter who is 2. Bought her first pair of walking shoes from here and many others. They carry a beautiful selection of European made shoes and they know how to fit a child’s foot so they can have growing room to maximize usage and wear. This place is a treasure- we drive all the way from Upper Bucks County to buy our shoes here.

This store has one precious thing that no chain store provides. And it comes for free: the knowledge AND knowhow of fitting shoes. My two boys got all their shoes from Luis before they outgrew the upper limit of sizes available here (it goes up to pre-teen).

Discerning customers drive over from neighboring states. It’s a destination.

Went to kidz shooz amidst the not so great reviews and i was pleasantly surprised! Luis the owner was fantastic with my son who has a hard to fit foot…. he had several very nice pair of shoes for reasonable prices , socks, sandals, winter boots, accessories and more…. the store itself is immaculate and organized to a tee.
He even gave my little guy a balloon at the end and made it more of a special thing than as if we would have went to a Foot Locker or Ross type store….
I will definitely be back here again… and soon.

After Olly and City Sports closed, I was searching for another place to buy shoes for my kids nearby and found Kidz Shooz. They seemed to have a good selection and prices, and I was excited. However, after buying two pairs of sneakers for my 6 year old daughter (Nike and Stride Rite brands), they both fell apart after only two months. As in, the front of the soles completely peeled away from the shoe. On both pairs. My son is 9 and I've NEVER had this happen with a pair of shoes before, ever. I took them back to the store to complain, but since I no longer had the receipt the owner wouldn't do anything about it. I'm very annoyed and won't be back.

I am so happy to find this place! I have terrible feet after having shoes that don't fit and think it's important for children to start out with shoes that fit. I tried fitting my grand daughters with shoes from Target, Gymboree, etc. but that never worked so I started going to my go-to Stride Rite. That worked Ok but depended on who was there and how much training they had on fitting shoes. I decided to try Kidz Shooz and and I ever glad I did! They have a huge selection of shoes from which to chose and the owner, himself, fits the shoes. I walked out with shoes that fit and I am sure will hold up for more than 2 months.

Nice to have such a good kids shoe store in town. The experience of walking to the store is much more satisfying than driving 30 minutes to a mall. Great selection they always have a nice selection of very good quality shoes for the kids. They also carry water shoes and accessories like my little pony socks. Be aware that the shop usually is not open until noon. We've walked over there at 11 am and found that they were not open yet. The shop keeper informed me that he opens at noon.

Went to this store for my son who has a wide foot. The salesman Luis was terrific. He sized and fitted my son with shoes that fit perfectly. Quick service and the prices were fair.
