Decided last minute to buy a new pair of ski boots, couldn’t stand the pain of my old ones any longer. Staff were super knowledgeable and quickly realized my wide feet issues and custom fit a pair of Salomon boots. Heated, molded and shaped. During the fitting I decided to ask about skis which I didn’t plan on buying but quickly was sold on a recommendation given by the same staff member. Needless to say, I bought both, skied the following day and have never been that comfortable in a pair of boots and I’ve been skiing for over 45 yrs.

I picked this ski shop from its reviews, the least I can do is leave a recommendation/review. This is the only place in Lake Placid I’d recommend! Well done ,Thanks

This is a great shop - I purchased and was fitted for my boots a few years ago by them. I decided it was time to upgrade gear for my daughter - we walked in Saturday afternoon and Ingrid jumped right in to help us! She was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Thanks to everyone at this shop- outstanding service & expert advice!

Great ski/board shop. Came in to upgrade my ski boots. Mike took good care of me and got me fitted for the perfect pair that took my skiing up to the next level. Also heat molded the boots. Great customer service, even when I came back near closing the next day to punch some extra space for my pinky toe.

My group also got snowshoe and ski/board rentals and they have good price and inventory

Had the most amazing experience today getting new gear for the winter! Mike and Cory are so friendly and helpful - they made me feel right at home. Both of them are super knowledgeable about all things skiing and snowboarding, etc. And I appreciate that they spent so much time with me answering all the questions I had.

If you want to feel truly cared for as a customer, and confident that you just bought the best gear for your needs at a great price (especially in the summer months), you have to visit this store.

Stopped by to try out ski boots. The shop was empty but we still had to wait for someone to come over and talk to us. Staff wasn't friendly at all and it looked like they are making us a huge favor. Asked to try on ski boots and were told that it is $45 just to try on and if buy something the fee will be waived. Well what if it doesn't fit? Pay $45 just to try on ski boots? I've been skiing my whole life and bought multiple pairs of ski boots, not once was told to pay a fee for trying something.

Friendly staff and great range of snow sports kit for purchase or rental. Rental kit is expensive in the US compare to Europe but this place is good value and the skis are impeccably maintained. Ski boot fitting (for purchase) was also excellent. Will return for sure when we next ski in the area.

I have wide feet and calves and spent last three months visiting ski shops and trying to find boots that will fit. Helpful people everywhere would spend time with me bringing various options but unfortunately nothing worked. I want to be somewhat comfortable in the boots before punching and stretching them. Came to LPSB, saw K2 BFC model that, based on my research, could’ve worked, and even saw my size on display. After waiting for 15 minutes with no one talking to me I decided to approach the guy at the counter who was chatting with his buddy (not a customer) and asked whether I could try them. He immediately and somewhat rudely told me that I need to pay $45 for a fitting (would be applied towards a purchase if I end up buying them) and told me that I just want to try them and buy them online. Having spent a lot of hours trying various options at other stores (for no charge) I wasn’t sure this pair would be a right fit so I decided not to spend time with them, besides, complete lack of attention to a customer for 15 minutes and rude attitude made sure I will never be back!

Came up for a long ski weekend and had a Jester 16 I needed mounted on a new pair of Stockli Montero AR’s and I needed the mount turned around same afternoon so I could get my boots back to ski the next morning. Shop was able to turn it around for me no fuss. I’m a serious skier and I want my setup perfect. Always iffy taking your skis someplace unknown to get a mount, but this shop definitely passed the vibe check. Legit ski shop.
