Super quick ski rental experience for one person. I was there at an off-time, so your experiences may vary depending on when you stop by. We usually rent from one of a large regional chain's locations in the Phoenix area, and then haul the skis up by car. The price here was about the same as in Phoenix, but the ski equipment here is MUCH better.

I am pissed off. We went to Larsons, where we have rented equipment for 7 years, and my son was given filthy ski boots and scratched skis. I asked the staff member, who has blond hair and big glasses, if she could clean off the boots. She simply responded that kids are rough on boots. I am paying for these boots and expect at a minimum that they are clean. It was as if someone was drilling concrete beside the boots. I asked to get skis that didn't have gashes at the bottom and she simply said that if we condition them too much you can't use the skis anymore. I have never ever rented skis that were in such poor condition. To top it off, the poles had heavy duty tape around them that we had to scratch off. I will never rent skis from Larsons again!

I now love Larsons and will come back here year after year and let me tell you why. The staff and Nikki in particular, was an absolute godsend and such a positive experience for my girlfriend who was buying new pair of boots. Nikki was so incredibly charming, helpful and kind and immediately alleviated my GFs fears and anxiety about finding a boot to properly fit foot and calf. I felt so much gratitude and happiness that Nikki was able to give Tracy such a good experience when she had previously been treated so poorly and slightly mocked at the big sports stores when they didn’t have the patience or knowledge to find a way to best suit her needs. 12/10. Highly recommend going to Larsons and asking for Nikki. GF ended up getting the K2 BFCs, and the Salomon Stance and loved them.

My family and I came in today to get new ski passes and rentals for the 2024-25 season. It was quick and easy to get Loveland passes for the children. It was even easier to get rentals for the children and new gear for myself. Quinn was quick and very knowledgeable. He was able to help us choose a good snowboard and also even gave us tips and a lot of good information on different bindings. This is our second season renting with Larson’s and we highly recommend them. Quinn was very efficient, quick, and can give you advice on less busy mountains to ski/snowboard. He helped us choose the right bindings for my new snowboard and also made all the adjustments to fit perfectly with my size 7 boots. Our experience this year was 10/10. Thank you Quinn and Larson’s ski staff!!!

Terrific place to shop for skis and get informed advice. I’ve worked with Paul for years, maybe even decades, he’s an absolute pro. Good selection of skis and many deals on previous year’s skis. Tunes on my skis have been great. Many, many years ago got a bad tune (snowboard texture on my tele skis) the owner John made it right for me. It’s really the only place I go for equipment and ski tuning. Many ski instructors use this shop.

Not only did they recommend the perfect gear for my level of experience, but they also ensured that I understood how to properly use everything before I left. It's rare to find a shop that genuinely cares about making sure you're fully satisfied with your purchase, but Larson's does just that. The atmosphere was friendly, and I never felt rushed or pressured into making a purchase. It felt more like shopping with a trusted friend than a retail transaction.
