My wife and I wanted to get away from most of the cruise ship crowds and a hike to Lower Reid Falls was the perfect opportunity. We took a cab to the trailhead but you could walk it if you wanted to. The trail is less than a mile round trip and the falls were beautiful. Highly recommend.

Our private tour guide took us to the Gold Rush Cemetery and Reid Falls. This place is small, but very beautiful and quiet. It was a nice way to end the day!

Great little waterfall, the trail to get is easy, but too steep for people with mobility problems. There's plenty of photo opportunities on the way up, and from the road trail or the cemetery, it's about 5-7 mins uphill. Right at the bottom of the trail there's a bathroom too. If you feel like walking you can make it back to town in about 35-40 mins leisurely.

Pleasant short hike from the cemetery after taking a quick $5 bus ride from town. Not very strenuous walking through the woods but some challenging rocks at the foot of the falls create many good photo opportunities.

Fairly flat walk from the cruise ship docks. The last 100 yards or so are uphill but not too bad. It's worth the walk, very beautiful!

Great hike. I've included MapMyRun screenshot because you should know it's a trek. Bring water and snacks! There is a restroom at the bottom. From shuttle to falls is 2.82 miles, which sounds "easy" as others have said..but the actual trail to the falls is not good for those with mobility, stability, or assistance needed. No strollers, walkers, or wheelchairs.
Once on the trail the scenery is beautiful. For those fully capable, you can get really close to the falls, even behind. For a little more adventure, there is a rope climb just to the right of the falls.

Relatively short hike to the falls from the gold rush cemetery. Pretty easy overall but you get a pretty and up close view of the waterfall and a nice walk through the forest. I walked all the way from town and that took a while but if you catch a shuttle over it's quite reasonable to do.
