Gear exchange in Bishop is a blast- tons of new and used(consignment )gear-including books, maps, camping stuff, bikes, ski gear, climbing gear, car camping, ice skates, and everything in between. The used gear ranges from beat up to very nice, and it's packed to the gills w stuff. The folks here are always knowledgeable and friendly & there seems to be a general friendly banter going on.Love this place!!

The go-to gear shop when in Bishop, I don’t know why anyone would ever buy brand new outdoor gear. Staff is always very friendly and helpful and I am almost always able to find what I’m looking for with their assistance.

Good selection, as expected prices are all over the map because they’re set by the people who come in to sell their gear. Staff seems to be universally aloof and annoyed to have to deal with customers. A bummer, I’d stop by more often if I didn’t feel so judged when I walk in.

Best gear shop in town. They have a great selection of new and used gear to fit anyone’s budget. We came here three times to get different odds and ends during our trip to Bishop for climbing. We got incredible prices on used climbing pants and a patch kit for our climbing shoes. The employees were very knowledgeable and super friendly. They seemed genuinely happy to be there and to be helping us which is unique in this day and age. They have a whole room full of sale stuff and so much climbing gear throughout. I highly recommend this place to local climbers.
