Boardwalk was nice, although some of the concrete was falling off/missing on the sides making parts a little narrower. You definitely must watch your step! You cannot avoid the sand to get to the light house.

Worth the stop and walk to the Lighthouse. It was a nice evening not too many people. Beautiful views and easy parking access.

This is a nice place to enjoy the view of the Lake Michigan shoreline. It's an easy, flat walk of almost 2 miles one way. The water was quite low when we went this time, so the shoreline was very marshy, but that is not always the case.

This is free and a great place for families too! It's not a terrible walk out to the lighthouse. It's very peaceful and beautiful! It's a breakwater lighthouse. There were a few boats in the harbor fishing. It was a great place to collect rocks and driftwood. There is a boardwalk and a nice beach area. You have to walk a pier/break wall to reach the lighthouse. It's worth the walk. It is very pretty. Their were a couple of porta bathrooms on the premises also. It was very peaceful and beautiful. Check this place out. I hope you find it as wonderful as we do.

Really nice walk on part path / part boardwalk. Just beware of the occasional cyclist not obeying the rules concerning where they can and cannot ride.

My wife and I stopped to walk to the pier and lighthouse. The walk was about 1.5 miles from where we parked. The walk to the lighthouse was very pleasant along the shoreline. The bugs were buggy along the way, mostly at the creek inlets. There was a portajon for relief if needed.

From this point to the lighthouse side is about 2 miles along the Boardwalk. There is parking on each end. I didn't walk it but looks like a nice area to take in a walk.
