The sales women that helped me today were awesome. Samantha was so patient with me as I tried on so many pairs of shoes. She made suggestions when something wasn’t fitting correctly. Another saleswoman offered to stretch out a shoe that was hitting a bunion. They don’t make you feel bad taking your time as you try to find the right shoe. I’m so glad this sweet little shop is still in business. It’s a very personal experience So refreshing in a world where everything is ordered on Amazon. If you want to support a small local business I definitely recommend Mike’s Shoes!!

Lots of inventory to look at, but a couple of the staff members were less than helpful and somewhat rude. My expensive Clark shoes started to fall apart after not too many miles on them. Mike's would not stand behind their product, and the Clark factory would not either for various nonsense reasons. SO, was it really worth not standing behind a product you sell? What do I tell people when they ask? I say, "don't buy from them."

I bought a pair of nice looking (and expensive) Ara Fusion canvas slip-ons at Mikes Shoes. I always expect my purchases there to be good and comfortable shoes and have accordingly been a customer for 10-15 years. Well, this time was disappointingly different. The shoes had been worn a half dozen times and I happened to get caught out in the rain the last time I was able to wear them. When I got home, I set them in my laundry room to dry out. When I examined them two days later the glue had softened and the canvas part of the shoe had come loose from the sole! I took them back to Mikes and explained the problem to the store owner and they just shrugged and told me I needed to contact the manufacturer. They wrote down the contact info and offered nothing more to resolve the defect. I called the company and also wrote an online message / request for a solution. I have not heard a thing in over a month. This was extremely unsatisfactory service from both the store and the manufacturer. Count me an extremely disappointed customer.
