Fui a esta tienda a alquilar un par de tablas para mi pareja y para mi debido a su buen precio.
Al entrar nos recibió una chica joven con rasgos hawaianos, muy agradable y muy profesional. Nos preguntó si era nuestra primera vez a lo que respondimos que más o menos sí, que somos principiantes. Muy amablemente salió de la tienda y trató de buscar dos tablas para nosotros. Cogió una que iba a encerar para mi pareja, pero en ese momento, un hombre negro llegó, hizo entrar a la dependienta y nos entregó las dos primeras tablas que otros clientes les estaban devolviendo en ese mismo momento, ignorando nuestra experiencia, altura y peso. Mi tabla no estaba en muy buen estado y la de mi pareja no tenia mucha cera, por lo que le costó mucho ponerse en pie. No nos dimos cuenta de estos detalles debido a la emoción de las vacaciones y las ganas de hacer surf, por lo que devolvimos las tablas antes de hora debido a que era tedioso utilizarlas. Al devolverlas, el mismo hombre ni se ocupó de coger y recolocar las tablas, simplemente vino en skate y nos hizo una señal con la mano a lo lejos, por lo que dejé las tablas donde me pareció a mi.

La primera chica era profesional y con ganas de hacer las cosas bien, pero la otra persona debería de tener más cuidado con sus clientes cuando estás "trabajando" de cara al público y más si estos clientes son extranjeros.

Surprised my S.O. with a private surf lesson and it did not disappoint. Had an amazing time, with a very personable instructor. They took the time to really explain the 4 steps to get up in the water. On the first attempt he was surfing and loving it. Would highly recommend.

My sister and I decided to take an impromptu surfing lesson and they were super accommodating and able to squeeze us in same-day on short notice. Our instructor Skye explained the basics of getting up on a board in the shop, then we headed out to the ocean to try and catch some waves. My sister and I both had a fantastic time! Skye had us up on the boards in no time and he was super friendly and answered all of our questions about surfing etiquette, how to know when a wave will be a good one, how to choose a surfboard, and more. Highly recommended a lesson from here! Very reasonable rates, personable staff, and an all around good vibe!

The staff at Moku took such good care of my kids on their first time out on surf boards. They were encouraging and made them comfortable right away. They caught so many waves we lost count. The shop is clean and the staff are professional, it was easy to book. We will be back again tomorrow!

We rented two surfboards for a few hours, and I have to say, the prices at Moku Hawaii can’t be beat. The service was quick, simple, and easy—perfect for anyone looking for a hassle-free experience. If you're a beginner and need a no-fuss option to get out on the water, this is definitely the place to go. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the boards were in great condition. It’s a fantastic spot for anyone wanting to try surfing without breaking the bank. Highly recommend!

My instructor was super experienced, gave thorough and clear instructions, and was an overall great teacher! Booked an 90min session but was so tired it ended up being closer to an hour. Thanks Moku team for a fun time getting me up surfing on the first try!!

We had two sessions booked with this surf shop, and both were incredible. Our first morning, we had one on one lessons for our kids, 11 - 9 - 7. Each had their own instructor, and all three instructors were fantastic. Our kids were able to get up and ride, a highlight for them, and incredible for us as parents to watch. Our 7 year old was less than thrilled to see some of the larger waves, but Brian did a fantastic job making her comfortable and she was out in the mix in no time.

The next day, my wife and I, and our niece and nephew took a group lesson, again with Brian. He did another fantastic job putting us into the mix, and by the end, we had all ridden waves. They even gave our three kids boogie boards to play on while we were out in the water. (This may have been a perk for the day before.)

The genuine love for teaching is evident in all the staff. The front desk was excited for us, the shop staff were compassionate, and the instructors are very skilled. They all care about your success, and they try to do everything they can to make it a great time.

I cannot recommend them enough. Book the early morning, just do it. Get up and make memories. Less crowded, less people in the water, an absolute blast.

Moku Hawaii made my first surf trip to Oahu epic. As an experienced surfer that manages a surf shop in California, I was thoroughly impressed. They knew exactly where I would want to go. They hooked me up with a sweet 9'6"and every person I interacted with was so professional and drippin with Aloha! Why can't every surf shop treat their customers like Moku. I'll be back soon!
