Humongous Park with unimproved trails everywhere. They also have a very long easier paved hiking biking trail. This park is not to be missed it's my absolute favorite. It's not super crowded or at least it's just so huge it doesn't feel that way.

Wonderful winter walk through the woods on a cold day. Ice flows were spectacular at the Rock Shelter on Low Gap trail.

We hiked a portion of the Low Gap and sectioned hike the Tecumseh down to Bear Lake. Beautiful sunny day in the 50s. Couldn't have been better hiking weather. We started at the MM park headquarters and wow, the nicest hqs I have seen in any Indiana State Forest. Trails were well marked. Not a terribly difficult trail but definitely ascents and descents, some fairly steep, all pretty short. Also, there are several creek crossings, a few had beautiful bridges over them.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. More than enough trails to keep you busy all day. It's usually pretty peaceful there, but spring can get a little busy with the mushroom hunters.

Great place for a good hike in the woods. We did the Rock Shelter trail, which was a really fun and moderate hike. Nice rock work along the trail. The forest is well kept and has a lot of trails and other fun things to do. Lots of nice picnic areas. Never too crowded, that I've seen. If you like the outdoors give this place a try.

Did the 3 lakes trail. Lots of elevation changes and is pretty advanced. Took me about 4 hours to do. Make sure to bring spare shoes and socks as you WILL be getting wet. There isn't much signage, but there are white diamonds throughout the trail so you won't get lost. The roads going into the park are pretty rough. They aren't paved, gravel roads, and have some pretty gnarly pot holes. So keep your low boys at home and drive a junker or SUV.

Three Lakes trail. All Trails says it is 10.3 miles, but we measured it at 12.8. Good hike

Always had a great time here. The gentleman at the front office Friday was very helpful in answering my questions about which campsites to use, costs, etc that. He recommended Rock Shelter Trail which was amazing! The pictures do not do that trail justice at all!

It was my first time back since last fall at Oak Ridge, and this time brought my wee lass and some new friends to enjoy and overnight at Mason Ridge. Fellow campers were quiet and there wasn't any loud partying or that sort of thing.

We're definately going to return again soon with more friends and possibly enjoy dispersed camping in the middle of nowhere (the best way to camp imho 😎).
