Nelson’s is a Downtown Oroville gem! I have bought every pair of Birkenstock’s I own from Nelson’s. The service is phenomenal and they take the time to really help you get the right fit! They carry amazing name-brand shoes that you can’t get anywhere else in town. I love shopping at this local shoe store and am so grateful for their amazing service.

Went for Vans. Left with K- Swiss
Due to an issue with Vans they had to unfortunately stop carrying them. Still a great place to get shoes. Friendly knowledgeable, family owned and they carry name brands with competitive price. Shop local when you can

This was the Chico location but I called and asked if the Oroville one was owned by the same owner and it is so I decided to post this here as well. I went to return a pair of crocs after getting the wrong size and they didn’t have my husband’s size in the color, so I asked if they could buy them online. Apparently they don’t do that. So I asked for my money back but they only give store credit. Which wouldn’t be a problem if the man wasn’t rude about it and say didn't you see the sign when you bought them. He was really rude and not helpful for the short time my husband and I were in there. It’s really sad because I would like to support a local business and I’m pretty sure the man was the owner. Please learn some customer service or at least be a little nicer. What a shame. The store is nice but I rather spend my money buying from the actual brand stores than give them anymore.

They have "composite toe" Reeboks that are light and comfortable. 100 times better than heavy, klunky, steel toe boots. The two young ladies working at the store were kind and helpful. This place has GREAT selection and service right here in Oroville. Big thumbs up!

Not my favorite cup of tea for a shoe store in terms of the majority of product they sell here, but in case you were wondering why the 4 star rating, I've purchased a pair of shoes here and when I'm able, I will take a look around when in the Montgomery area and see if there may be a second gem for myself. Shoe stores are like thrift stores in the sense you could possibly find an item you've always wanted or never knew that you did.

Customer service was amazing and she helped me find the perfect hiking shoes. I don't remember her name but she was a black girl with dreads. Great employee. I will be shoe shopping here often.
