The snowflake exhibit was an unexpected bonus. The variety and quality of the crafts was excellent. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Don't miss the garden outside (in the summer) with examples of grains that were ground.

My 12 year old granddaughter and I visited today. The snowflake photos were amazing! It was wonderful to learn more about this inventive farmer.

The museum store offers a wide variety of artwork, pottery, paintings,and other Vermont made products at very good prices. We bought snowflake earrings and were tempted to buy affordable pottery items. If you need a mug, vase, bowl, or plate I recommend you stop by. The prices were much lower than those at most artisan sales and farmer’s markets. The photos of the snowflakes are sweet treasures to own.

The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly.

What a lovely place to visit and enjoy!

So, I love this place, but it should really be about 4 stars because there's not much here. The museum is very simple, but I totally geek out about it. This dude figured out how to photograph snowflakes and built a life out of it. The gift shop has a lot of local artist. The cool part is a lot of the old mill works are still in the gift shop. The best part is the outside. The Old Red Mill is one of the most photogenic spots in Vermont. It's hard to take a bad picture of the Mill and the stream.

The people were really nice and wished me a happy birthday. 😊 Love the T-shirt I got. And the Snowflake Bentley exhibit is beautiful.
Small fact I just found out: My grandfather helped build the mill.

The museum portion of the mill was well thought out and very interesting. Being able to see the actual camera and photo plates from Snowflake Bentley’s personal collection was so meaningful.

The craft section of the red mill offered a wide selection from very talented local artisans.

The building itself is beautiful in and of itself.

Beautiful old mill with a great hiking trail behind it. The gift shop has some really nice hand made goods at reasonable prices.

The snowflake photos are also worth checking out.
